P1 SBC focus on the words recognition, aiming to
promote reading at young age. Through interesting and
rhythmic children songs, stories or games, the students
learn to recognize Chinese words.
The Chinese words are carefully chosen and are close
to them in their daily lives, thus making it easier for
them to comprehend and recognize.
The students will work in groups, role play and show
their creativity in their group presentations. It is also a
good platform for them to foster teamwork and respect
among classmates, improve their communication and
presentation skills.

Formative Assessment (AfL) in Math Learning
A Vibrant Connected Community that Aspires, Learns and Leads
In its efforts to partner parents in education to support the children’s learning of Math, the Math department will continue with its efforts to provide parents with the just in time Math Misconception Fact Sheet for all levels prior to semestral assessments. The Math Misconception Fact Sheet is a collation of the misconceptions of various Math concepts and the common errors made by the pupils in their math learning. It identifies the areas of concern and aims to assist parents in supporting their children in their revision for the semestral assessments.
Math Misconception Fact Sheet
A Vibrant Connected Community that Aspires, Learns and Leads
The Math teachers will continue to correct the pupils' misconceptions and alert them of the common errors made during lessons. Do look out for the Math Misconception Fact Sheet in April and in September.
