Excellent reliability.

Proven cutting quality.

The CLAAS C 900 to C 370 standard cutterbars deliver optimum cutting results for grain harvesting. With their tried and trusted rigid cutterbar table they are easy to operate, ensure absolute reliability and provide effective support for the throughput capability of your combine.

Low-maintenance knife drive.

The knife bar is driven via a low-maintenance oil-bath transmission. This particularly robust knife drive runs at 1120 strokes per minute. The drive belts are tensioned fully automatically.

Stripping plates adjustable from the exterior (C 490, C 430, C 370).

Standard cutterbar

Numerous advantages as standard.

Suitable for all combine models•Proven rigid cutterbar table design•Robust knife drive thanks to low-maintenance oil-bath •transmissionMultifinger intake auger•Stripping plates adjustable from the exterior (C 490, C •430, C 370)

Even crop flow.

The auger core of the multifinger intake auger has a diameter of 380 mm and the auger thread height is 100 mm. Once the crop has been delivered to the centre by the intake auger thread, the multifingers draw it under the intake auger to the feeder housing. The length of the fingers can be adjusted in accordance with the type of crop, in order to ensure a consistent crop flow, and the height of the intake auger is infinitely adjustable to match the harvesting conditions.

Quick conversion to handle rapeseed.

A rapeseed table with the appropriate side cutters can be fitted ahead of the standard cutterbars without using any tools. This is done simply by removing the crop dividers and securing the table by means of quick release fasteners. Removable wheels allow the rapeseed table to be moved easily and the cutterbar can be transported easily on the trailer with the rapeseed equipment.

6

Maximum productivity.

The VARIO cutterbars allow the technical capacity of the combine to be used to the full: the infinitely adjustable cutterbar table ensures a consistent crop feed to the threshing system. What's more, the cutterbars reduce the fuel consumption of the machine and help the drive achieve significantly increased productivity.

The right cut.

For grain harvesting, the cutterbar table can be extended by up to 20 cm or shortened by as much as 10 cm to keep the crop flow even and ensure efficient, trouble-free working.

How you benefit.

Harvest more, consume less.

The right cut – for rapeseed, too.

For rapeseed harvesting the cutterbar table of the VARIO cutterbars can be extended forwards by 50 cm rendering the integrated rapeseed table ready for immediate use. The hydraulic lines for the rapeseed knives are connected quickly thanks to fast couplings.

Hydraulically driven side cutters on the right and on the left can be switched on and off at will. They are mounted quickly and easily without additional tools. The hydraulic drive is integrated in the rapeseed knife. The weight load on the cutterbar during road travel is reduced as the rapeseed equipment can be carried in a container on the trailer.

The high-performance cutterbars.

The key to making full use of the machine capacity.

Ever larger combines with ever higher performance call for cutterbars with similarly enhanced dimensions and capacity. The VARIO high-performance cutterbars in widths of 12 m and 10.5 m are a match for even the largest combines. As well as allowing the machines to be used as efficiently as possible, they make for optimum ground protection by reducing the number of passes and the turning time. And, of course, the great thing about higher performance is that it means lower costs.

Powerful drive.

The VARIO 1200 and 1050 cutterbars are driven on both sides via transmissions and drive shafts and are therefore able to meet the most demanding requirements. The telescopic drive shaft allows the divided knife to operate at a high cutting frequency in all table positions. The synchronised transmission drive makes for optimum low-noise operation while the drive shafts ensure slip-free power transmission – and all with minimal maintenance requirements.

Built-in safety.

The knife drives on each side are protected against overload by shear bolts while protection for the intake auger is provided by a cam-type power interrupt clutch. These safety features mean that harvesting operations can proceed quickly and safely.

Robust drive concept with dual-sided, synchronised knife •drive for optimum low-noise operationLinear drive on the divided knife makes for an increased •cutting frequency of 1344 strokes per minuteCentre-bearing supported reel and intake auger for •greater stability and optimal crop flowLarger 660 mm diameter intake auger for significantly •improved anti-wrapping protection and better crop uptakeExternally adjustable stripper bars for reliable crop flow•New reel tine carriers and bearings, as well as a new reel •design, significantly reduce the risk of wrappingHydraulic pump that can be switched on and off to •reduce the power required and wearOverload protection features protect against damage•

Economical fuel consumption.

The VARIO 1200 and VARIO 1050 cutterbars have a hydraulic pump for the rapeseed table drive which can be deactivated separately. This saves energy and fuel when rapeseed is not being threshed.

Optimal crop flow.

The multifingers of the divided intake auger draw the crop to the feeder housing and can be adjusted longitudinally in accordance with the type of crop. The height of the auger can be adjusted infinitely in line with the harvesting conditions. The semicircular reel tine carriers on the reel with its central bearing offer optimal protection against wrapping while the patented polymer bearings of the reel make for low-friction running and offer good wear resistance. The result: a consistent crop flow and greater stability.

Robust front attachments for robust plants.

Rice (oryza) is a plant species from the sweet grass family (poaceae) with broad leaves and long panicles. Rice was cultivated by ancient peoples some 6000 years ago and today is one of the seven key cereal plants in the global diet. Altogether, over 100,000 varieties of rice are in existence. The significance of this crop is such that CLAAS offers specialised rice cutterbars.

Dual knife system.

Rice stalks are extremely tough. To achieve clean, top quality cutting results at a high rate in this hard and unforgiving material, all the cutterbars can be equipped with a dual knife system. The specially hardened knife blades are extremely durable.

Hardened intake auger.

During rice harvesting operations, the machine has to cope with an excessive amount of dirt. To inhibit premature wear the hardened intake auger has sintered edges. Special deflectors on the sides of the intake auger reliably prevent wrapping. Together, these features are decisive in generating a smooth crop flow and high throughput.

Higher performance, greater productivity.

Both the CLAAS standard cutterbars and the CLAAS VARIO cutterbars are available with rice components and are thus ideally suited for rice harvesting. The different cutterbar widths, the functionality and the operating procedures correspond to those of the host cutterbar systems and offer you higher performance with greater productivity.

Special deflectors ensure an optimal crop flow.

Faster adaptation.

Rice harvesting components ensure that the high-performance VARIO cutterbars can be adapted quickly to respond to changing harvesting conditions. The automatic setting of the cutterbar table length guarantees a consistent crop flow and so enables you to make use of the full potential of your machine when harvesting rice, too.

A wider range of possibilities.

CLAAS also offers a single-blade double-finger knife bar in combination with a hardened intake auger and the special deflectors. This allows you to fit crop lifters.

Wide choice.

The CLAAS combine models LEXION 760/750/630, TUCANO 480/470/450/440 and DOMINATOR 130 are available with rice equipment.

Folding cutterbar

Travel faster, harvest more.

Narrow roads, awkward tracks, heavy traffic: with the folding cutterbars you can achieve top daily output with every CLAAS combine.

The folding cutterbars eliminate the attachment and detachment of the cutterbar, ensure optimal handling during travel with outstanding visibility and enable transfers from one field to the next with practically no interruption.

How you benefit.

No additional trailer necessary•Drastically reduced set-up times•Tremendous savings of time and costs•Extremely easy operation•High operational reliability•Safer in road traffic•Greater efficiency•Travel width 3 m•

Narrow paths and roads are no problem.

14

Perfect cutting angle.

The integrated manual cutting angle adjustment facility directly on the cutterbar makes for optimal crop take-up and ensures excellent ground contour following.

Special crop dividers.

The FLEX cutterbars are equipped with special crop dividers which can be deflected vertically, thereby avoiding damage and preventing interruptions to the harvesting process.

Close to the ground.

Legumes, such as soybeans, peas and lentils, grow in pods close to the ground. It is therefore important to cut the crops as close to the ground as possible at harvest time to ensure that every last pod gets picked up by the machine.

The FLEX cutterbars are available in widths from 5.1 m to 9 m. They have a knife bar which is able to flex up to 100 mm and therefore makes it possible to harvest close to the ground without losses.

The special crop divider can be deflected vertically.

15

FLEX

Harvesting close to the ground.

Reliable drive.

The flex cutterbars are equipped with the proven belt drive found in the CLAAS standard cutterbars. With its low maintenance requirements and low-loss power transmission this drive offers you the familiar, high standards of reliability and performance.

A versatile operator.

The FLEX cutterbars also offer you outstanding flexibility thanks to the knife bar which can be set to a rigid configuration manually and which can also be used for other crops, such as grains.

FLEX S 900–S 510

Page 16: Out in fr ont - attachments fr om CLAAS. - TRACTORLAND combine front attach.pdfimpr oved anti-wr apping pr ot ection and bett er cr op uptak e a Ext ernally adjustable stripper bars

16

Optimum ground-contour following.

Flexible knife bar.

MAXFLEX cutterbars from CLAAS go one step further. They, too, are equipped with a flexible knife bar, which compensates automatically for the slightest ground contours. However, the knife bar can flex up to 180 mm (FLEX 100 mm). Together with the cutting angle adjustment on the HP feeder housing, this enables intake losses to be avoided under all field conditions.

Powerful drive.

The difference between FLEX and MAXFLEX is also reflected clearly in the drive concept. The MAXFLEX cutterbars are equipped with the proven drive from the VARIO 1200 and 1050, in which the cutterbar components are driven on both sides via transmissions and drive shafts. The synchronised transmission drive makes for optimum low-noise operation while the drive shafts ensure slip-free power transmission – and all with minimal maintenance requirements. This ensures that the MAXFLEX cutterbars are able to meet the most demanding requirements.

17

MAXFLEX

Safety you can count on.

As with the VARIO 1200 and 1050 cutterbars, the knife drives on each side of the MAXFLEX cutterbar are protected against overload by shear bolts while protection for the intake auger is provided by a cam-type power interrupt clutch. You can therefore complete harvesting operations safely and rapidly.

Harvesting close to the ground.

The MAXFLEX cutterbars have a crop divider which can be displaced upwards, which also adjusts to the ground contours and which returns to its starting position automatically. The plastic reel tines are flexible and make it possible to work close to the ground with the reel while the adjustable skids on the underside of the MAXFLEX can be set to the correct cutting height.

Outstanding stability.

Just as with the VARIO 1200 and VARIO 1050 cutterbars, the reel, intake auger and knives are divided and so ensure optimum stability.

First-class range of applications.

As well as being ideal for all legumes, such as peas, beans and lentils, the MAXFLEX 1200 and MAXFLEX 1050 cutterbars are able to deliver the right cutting performance for special crops, such as clover, too. Grains can also be harvested without any difficulty by the MAXFLEX cutterbars thanks to the knife bar which can be set to a rigid configuration electrohydraulically or manually.

Flexible plastic reel tines make it possible to work close to the ground.

The maize pickers.

CLAAS combines also turn in a perfect maize harvesting performance when equipped with the CONSPEED and CONSPEED LINEAR maize pickers which are available as 6, 8 and 12-row variants. The 12-row variant (CONSPEED only) is rigid while the 6 and 8-row variants are available in rigid form or foldable to a width of 3 m for on-road travel. Furthermore, the CONSPEED LINEAR is available in rigid 4 and 5-row versions. This wide range means that CONSPEED and CONSPEED LINEAR maize pickers are able to cover the different performance levels of the various machines and offer you the extensive choice and versatility you expect from CLAAS.

Superb operation.

The gathering chains run on plastic tracks giving exceptionally smooth operation and low wear. The picking plate clearance can be matched to the harvest conditions conveniently from the cab using the electro-hydraulic adjustment utility. The position is shown in CEBIS.

CONSPEED

Gentle, precise progress through the rows.

Plastic hoods.

The robust and durable plastic hoods ensure that the cobs have a soft landing. They can be folded up and stay in position to allow easy access to the service points. A particularly flat picking angle reduces cob losses ("cob jump-off").

The hydraulically driven laid maize augers enable •problem-free maize harvesting under extreme conditionsLateral cowl extensions prevent the cobs from falling out •when harvesting overripe crops

Stubble breaker.

Stubble breakers are fitted to the header chassis. These help to break off the sharp stubble tips, thus eliminating a source of damage to the tyres and adding to their service life.

20

Powerful, yet gentle.

The tapered picking rollers are a feature exclusive to the CONSPEED maize header range. Both variants (hybrid and standard rollers) contribute to the high picking speed required by the high performance combines whilst treating the cobs gently.

With the hybrid rollers the function of the front attachment is matched optimally to the operating conditions. The knives in the front area of the picking roller where the greatest wear occurs are each attached with two bolts and can simply be replaced if necessary.

The rear snapping blades, like all the standard rollers, have a tungsten carbide coating. This design extends the service life and helps reduce operating costs even further. There is no need for a front bearing as both picking rollers have centre bearings in the transmission - a design feature which reduces maintenance costs significantly.

Powerful performance with a light touch.

Integrated transmission with separate protection against overload and foreign bodies.

21

CONSPEED

The drive concept.

Each picker unit has a compact, integrated transmission for the picking rollers, intake chains and the chopper. Each drive unit is individually protected against overload. This drive concept offers low-loss, reliable power transmission from the combine to the individual picker units via the drive shaft and transmission.

Variable picking speed.

A variator on the LEXION allows the picking speed to be adjusted automatically to the ground speed. The step drive offers another method of speed adjustment.

Functional principle.

Variator for the picker drive.

The diagram shows clearly how the throughput speed of the maize stems increases as they pass through the picking roller. The cobs hit the picking plates at low speed. This keeps losses to a minimum while still allowing the machine to operate at a high ground speed. Furthermore, the lower stem area is chopped intensively.

22

The linear picking rollers.

When harvesting maize, the cobs must be handled with the greatest care while the quantity of stalk fragments entering the combine has to be kept as low as possible. Our linear picking rollers fulfil these two requirements with no compromises. The design that makes it possible:

The picking rollers have a linear design with forward •mounted bearingsEach picking roller is equipped with four bolt-on, •adjustable bladesA tungsten-carbide coating ensures high wear resistance•Spiral intakes draw the stalks in positively•New picking plates guide the crop to the picking roller •with greater efficiency

Comfortable and reliable.

The CONSPEED LINEAR maize pickers stand out with their ease of operation and reliable technology. They are available in four, five, six or eight row versions with row widths of 70 and 75 cm.

Easily set to the job in hand.

The drive of the picking units of the CONSPEED LINEAR is provided by a spur gear on each side of the versions with six and eight rows. Four and five-row versions have only one spur gear on the left-hand side in the direction of travel. This low-loss power transmission system reduces fuel consumption. The speed of the picking units can be adjusted flexibly in line with the prevailing harvesting conditions simply by a change of gear wheel. A manual picking plate adjustment system is available.

The picking units are driven by a spur gear on each side.

SUNSPEED

High-precision harvesting.

Once the sunflowers are collected by the shuttles, the adjustable regulator plate ensures that the flower heads are pushed forwards. At the same time, the snapping roller below the knife bar pushes the stalks downwards. In this way, the regulator plate and snapping roller prevent the stalks from being cut too soon. The cut is not performed until the sunflower heads are captured by the reel. As a result, only the flower heads reach the intake auger which finally delivers them to the feed rake conveyor. This whole process is row-independent and runs smoothly under the most diverse crop conditions.

Fast cutting.

The knife drive with its low-maintenance oil-bath transmission operates smoothly and precisely and permits an impressively high cutting frequency of 1,120 strokes per minute. The snapping roller and intake auger, by contrast, are driven by means of chains and belts.

SUNSPEED adapts.

Convenient in-cab hydraulic adjustment of reel height and •speedAdjustable guide plates keep the stalks securely •positioned so only the sunflower seed heads are harvestedThe gap between the shuttles can be adapted to the •relative stalk diameter via adjustable rails – nothing gets jammed and harvesting runs like clockworkThe shuttles can also be adjusted for tilt and can be •adapted to a wide variety of crop conditions

Nothing goes to waste.

The CLAAS standard cutterbars C 900 to C 540, the VARIO cutterbars V 900 to V 540 and the CONSPEED LINEAR maize pickers can be converted with a sunflower kit extremely easily. This makes them ideal for sunflower harvesting – provided sunflowers are not your main crop. In this way you can be sure of always getting the most out of your cutterbar.

CONSPEED LINEAR sunflower kit.

The CONSPEED LINEAR can also be converted for sunflower harvesting in next to no time. The conversion involves fitting special knives above the picking roller in order to cut off the sunflowers. This ensures that the combine is not contaminated with stalk fragments unnecessarily. Side hood extensions are also fitted to the CONSPEED LINEAR along with a special rear wall panel in order to avoid losses. The intake chains are turned round so that the sunflower heads can reach the feed rake unharmed.

RAKE UP – a new approach to swath harvesting.

RAKE UP demonstrates its abilities in areas which are unsuited to direct threshing - and it does so under all imaginable conditions. It enables the pick-up of nearly all windrowed crops, especially crops such as rice, rapeseed and grass seed, and provides yet another demonstration of the exceptional efficiency of CLAAS front attachments.

Crop take-up.

A curved-track-controlled pick-up is the characteristic feature of this front attachment. The controlled tines are mounted on six tine bars. The tines retract downwards and perform an additional lateral movement when the crop is delivered to the feed belt. This lateral movement makes for loss-free pick-up of the crop and reduces the number of stones picked up.

The feed belts in RAKE UP run in the direction of travel and deliver the crop to the intake auger.

Clean swath collection.

Bevel gear controlling the curved track.

The tines ensure the crop is picked up and passed on quickly.

RAKE UP

Crop guard.

The two-part crop guard ensures efficient crop flow. It can be adjusted hydraulically for height and is therefore able to adapt optimally to the most diverse conditions.

Castor guide wheels.

The two castor guide wheels at left and right not only limit the depth but also ensure that the tines do not pick up any stones.

Drive and control.

The RAKE UP is driven by chains and belts which ensure loss-free power transmission, extremely low maintenance and excellent reliability.

The pick-up is controlled by a bevel gear. The speed of the intake unit can be adjusted continuously thanks to the convenient hydraulic control system operated from the cab.

The working speed of the RAKE UP is controlled automatically via the ground speed and so ensures optimal take-up of the crop at all times.

New from CLAAS.

The MAXFLO proves its special efficiency above all in places with average yields. The idea is simple: the crop is cut by the knife bar and brought to the feeder housing on conveyor belts as opposed to the usual combination of cutterbar and intake auger. This principle ensures that even low quantities of material are harvested reliably.

Different from the usual systems.

In the middle of the cutterbar, the crop is not brought to the feeder housing on a belt running in the direction of travel. With MAXFLO, feed augers mounted laterally on the intake auger pick up the material and with the support of a guide element deliver it in a cam track to the intake auger and from there the feeder housing. This design from CLAAS ensures a particularly even flow of crop.

The speed of the feed belts is infinitely adjustable in CEBIS.

The plants are guided along a curved track.

MAXFLO

On the safe side.

Cutterbar guidance with sensors.

Up to six sensor bands on the bottom side of the cutterbar are used for AUTO CONTOUR control and cutterbar guidance. The additional chassis on the MAXFLO absorbs shocks to the cutterbar with a hydraulic cylinder and a nitrogen pressure reservoir.

A CLAAS innovation: Two in one.

In regions where direct threshing is impossible, the MAXFLO can be used as a swather. A quick, simple changeover enables the MAXFLO to lay the whole crop in a swath:

Remove the feed augers in the cutterbar•Move one of the two feed belts with back panel to close •the opening of the feeder housingChange the direction of one of the two belts so both •move in the same direction

Swathing is possible to the right or left. The result is an ideal windrow that can be collected later by the RAKE UP.

MAXFLO chassis absorbs shocks to the cutterbar.

32

Central locking system.

A single lever on the left side of the cutterbar operates all locks simultaneously.

Replacement knives and crop lifters.

All CLAAS cutterbars are equipped with a replacement knife. The knife sections made of hardened material are extremely durable.

The use of crop lifters enables pickup of laid crops in particular without loss while reducing the intake of stones. Crop lifter replacements can be carried conveniently on the back side of the cutterbar.

Optimum functionality.

Thanks to their standard interface, CLAAS front attachments can be fitted to LEXION, TUCANO and AVERO machines and are therefore available in all power categories. What's more, they have a whole series of functions and helpful features which allow them to meet even specialised requirements and so offer you outstanding flexibility. Benefit from the unique combination of high-value performance and equipment features.

Multicoupler.

The central connection coupling for all the hydraulic and electronic connections to the cutterbar.

You gain valuable time due to shorter attachment and •removal proceduresIntegrated design means there is no danger of confusion•Easy to connect, even under pressure•Environmentally friendly with no oil leakage•

Greater convenience with the MultiCoupler and central locking.

33

Cutterbar convenience

CLAAS front attachments. An outstanding array of features.

Dividers.

CLAAS cutterbars can be equipped with both short and long dividers for loss-free take-up of the crop.

Both variants are available as folding versions. The folding crop dividers are flexibly mounted on the cutterbar and can be folded inwards for road travel. The additional outer deflectors are carried in the cutterbar trailer.

Stone protection.

The tear-shape area in the cutterbar table serves as the first obstacle for stones and other foreign bodies. Where the ground is particularly stony, a stone capture plate can be retrofitted. This increases the height of the tear shape by 4 cm and so provides effective protection against stone damage.

Hydrostatic reel drive.

A variable displacement pump on the basic machine supplies a maximum torque of 1000 Nm at the reel. The reel speed is automatically adjusted independently of the ground speed.

Plenty of engine power thanks to high torque•Greater efficiency than gear pumps•A closed hydraulic circuit ensures better reel rotation•Fast adjustment of the reel speed•Large reel clearance height•

Additional crop lifters stored on the cutterbar.

34

Optimum ground contour following.

In order to ensure optimum following of the ground contours, CLAAS cutterbars are equipped with the CLAAS CONTOUR and AUTO CONTOUR automatic cutterbar control systems for ideal results at all times.

CLAAS CONTOUR.

The cutterbar with CLAAS CONTOUR adapts automatically to uneven ground along the direction of travel. Choose a ground pressure and CONTOUR keeps it constant. With every lowering of the cutterbar, the pre-set cutting height mechanism automatically moves to the preselected cutting height.

AUTO CONTOUR. Consistently good results.

The automatic cutterbar control is activated simply by pressing the button for height adjustment on the multifunction control lever.

2-way cutterbar cylinders control the ground pressure precisely.

35

Automatic functions

AUTO CONTOUR.

AUTO CONTOUR goes a step further by compensating all ground irregularities, including those which are transverse to the direction of travel. Sensor bands below the cutterbar provide early detection of undulations and trigger the corresponding cutterbar cylinders on the feeder housing.

Electronic sensors detect the hydraulic pressure in the •system and react quicklyValve-controlled, nitrogen-filled accumulators ensure •optimal shock absorption with front attachments of different weights

A more cost-effective way to work.

With fully automated comparison of the current status and the setpoint, AUTO CONTOUR adapts the cutterbar position optimally to the terrain. This greatly simplifies the work of harvesting, particularly with large cutting widths, at night, with laid crops, on slopes and rocky ground. AUTO CONTOUR helps increase performance and make the use of the combine pay even greater dividends.

Sensor bands detect the position of the cutterbar.

Page 36: Out in fr ont - attachments fr om CLAAS. - TRACTORLAND combine front attach.pdfimpr oved anti-wr apping pr ot ection and bett er cr op uptak e a Ext ernally adjustable stripper bars

36

Automatic reel control.

The reel speed – and thus the circumferential reel speed is adjusted automatically in proportion to the ground speed. The driver can set and store different ratios of ground speed to reel speed.

Infinitely variable reel speed.

The reel speed can be adjusted infinitely between the feed, synchronised, and run-on speeds. A digital speed sensor enables precise speed adjustment. A variable displacement pump on the host machine supplies a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm at the reel. The result: plenty of pulling power thanks to high torque. A hydraulic overload protection system provides protection against damage.

Variable reel height.

Different working heights of the reel can be saved and recalled for various cutting heights. But the reel height can always be adjusted directly.

Page 37: Out in fr ont - attachments fr om CLAAS. - TRACTORLAND combine front attach.pdfimpr oved anti-wr apping pr ot ection and bett er cr op uptak e a Ext ernally adjustable stripper bars

37

Automatic functions

VARIO automation.

The VARIO cutterbar with automated reel control also enables the reel levelling and table position to be saved and recalled by activating the automatic cutterbar control. Manual adjustments can also be made.

Automatic functions.

Automatic steering systems. Accurate to the last centimetre.

GPS PILOT display on the ISOBUS-capable CEBIS MOBILE.

GPS PILOT.

The satellite-guided GPS PILOT uses global positioning system signals to guide the combines of the LEXION series automatically along the cut edge of the crop with an accuracy of 2 cm. Simply divide your field into identically sized sections using the GPS PILOT. No more time wasted on unproductive cutting of leftover strips.

The GPS PILOT uses the multifunctional colour CEBIS MOBILE display; concurrent operation of CEMOS software is possible.

The ISOBUS-enabled CEBIS MOBILE can be put to use quickly and easily. After the harvest, it can be used for GPS steering of tractors or as an ISOBUS terminal for controlling implements.

Growing demand for ever greater precision.

CLAAS combines can be equipped with various automatic steering systems which can be selected as needed according to the application.

39

Automatic guidance systemsLASER PILOT. AUTO PILOT.

LASER PILOT.

The electro-optical sensors of the LASER PILOT use pulses of light to scan between the crop and stubble and guide the COMBINE automatically along the edge.

The LASER PILOT can be folded away for transport and, depending on the combine model, is available for both the left and right side of the cutterbar. Its optimal positioning on the cutterbar side close to the crop edge enables a good viewing angle and ensures high functional reliability even when working with laid crops, on slopes or at night.

AUTO PILOT.

Two digital sensors incorporated in one of the picker units record the position of the combine and automatically guide it on the best path through the rows of maize in all field conditions. Thus AUTO PILOT contributes to greater performance and efficiency.

How you benefit.

High functional reliability and safety regardless of •visibility conditionsFull utilisation of the cutterbar width all the time•Greater precision for mapping areas and yields•Reduced fuel consumption•Lower turning times•Increased seasonal performance•Significant reduction in workload for the operator, •enabling greater concentration on threshing

40

The safe way to travel.

A trailer is available for every CLAAS cutterbar in order to ensure that it can be transported safely. It takes only a short time to uncouple the cutterbar and secure it on the trailer. The outer deflectors are carried in mountings on the trailer or the cutterbar.

Even cutterbars equipped for rapeseed harvesting can be loaded on the trailer and transported without restriction. This is made possible by additional supports which are folded into position to hold the cutterbar securely. In the case of the VARIO cutterbars, a locking transport container is available for the rapeseed equipment.

All cutterbars can be transported with the rapeseed equipment in place.40

Trailers. For fast and safe transport.

Locking transport container for rapeseed equipment.

Versatile helpers.

Like the cutterbars themselves, the CLAAS trailers are also extremely versatile. Once the supports have been adjusted, every SUNSPEED and certain CONSPEED and CONSPEED LINEAR models can be transported safely. This means that you can transport up to four different front attachments with just one trailer - and save on costs and storage space at the same time.

Single-axle trailers are available for cutterbar widths of 3.7 m to 6.6 m; single and twin-axle trailers are available for cutterbars 7.5 m wide and twin-axle trailers are available for cutterbar widths from 9 m to 12 m. Depending on the specific trailer, braked and unbraked variants as well as 25-km/h and 40-km/h variants are available. With the LEXION 750 TERRA TRAC, for example, you can transport your cutterbar safely at 40 km/h.
