Volunteers Needed
We have invited the families of our Backpack Program to be our guests at a luncheon following our combined Easter service on April 8th. In order to see this happen, we are asking for volunteers for Saturday (April 7) & Sunday (April 8).
Saturday’s need is for 4-5 volunteers to assist with food preparation. Please plan to be at the church about 9 am.
Sunday’s need is for 8-10 people to assist with serving and clean-up. We will ask that you go to the East Basement immediately following the worship to begin serving our families who receive backpacks. If you can help with only one area (serving or clean-up, but not both) on Sunday, we have made it possible for you to indicate that on the sign-up form.
Sign-up forms are on the registration table in the foyer.
THANK YOU Thank you for your prayers, cards, and words of encouragement as well as the food you brought after the death of my sister, Betty Phillips. Thank you also to the congregation for sending the peace lily to us in her memory.
Your many expressions of kindness made a difficult week less so.
Fond regards, Chuck Griswold

Junior Church is a worship experience especially for children aged 3 years - 4th grade. A greeter will be glad to direct your child to this service. 3 yr. olds—Kindergarten meet in the west basement, during the 10:00 adult worship service. Children 1st -4th grade meet in the 3rd floor youth room (Holy Grounds) except on the last Sunday of the month when they will be with their parents. 5th & 6th graders will go to the multipurpose room with their parents for the 10:00 a.m. service. The Lord’s Supper, or communion, is celebrated weekly at the invitation of Christ, who said “Do this in remembrance of Me”. All followers of Christ are welcome to share with us. We partake of communion individually as the trays are passed.
The Offering is one way that we give back to God part of what He has given to us. Our offerings help finance programs within our congregation, and also support community and worldwide mission efforts. Guests are not expected to be prepared to give today.
Bible School classes are available for children and adults, along with Nursery and Toddler care, at 9:00 a.m. If you weren’t able to attend today, please take the opportunity on your next visit to study God’s Word with other Christians.
