It does not examine the Tahltan language from a scientific linguistic perspective. Instead, it focuses on the pedagogical structure from a second language learning experience. It also examines the cultural differences in perspective between Tahltan and English (translation language). Based on the morphemic findings, and observed behavior governing syllable structure, I argue that the Tahltan Language is structured around the pronouns in a way that is patterned into the paradigms with a consistency that simplifies the learning process when a second language learner understands how it works. I also point out how deeply the cultural understanding of the universe is embedded in the structure and nature of the Tahltan language.

Awards and Accomplishments I spearheaded the First Nations and environmental struggle to protect three major salmon bearing

rivers (Skeena, Nass and Stikine) in northern British Columbia, between 2004 and 2012, from the threat of hydraulic fracking for coal-bed methane gas by Shell Canada. In December 2012 a Tripartite Agreement was reached between the Tahltan Nation, Shell Canada and British Columbia in which Shell Canada agreed to abandon development plans. Shell Canada was compensated by the British Columbia government for their financial losses and the area is in the process of negotiation to be designated a protected Tahltan Culture area (Klappan Initiative). As a result of my work I was awarded ‘The Environmental Protection Award’ by the Iskut First Nations. Membership Boards and Societies
