11 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Taking Care of Business*Take care of your bill, buy your books, visit the Financial Aid office or other administrative offices if necessary.*Course materials and supplies can be purchased and picked up starting today in The Bookstore @ New Paltz in the Student Union Lower Level. If you placed an online order and selected ‘in-store pick up’, bring your student ID and web order number. Don’t forget to check out the New Paltz gear and all of the other great products they have available!

Peregrine Dining HallNew students can use their student ID card and guests can pay cash. This is a Carte Blanche, all-you-can-eat venue.

1 – 5 p.m. | Open RecAthletic & Wellness CenterIndoor track, cardio & weight curves will be open and equipment and bike rentals are available. Basketball & racquetball are in Elting Gym and pool hours will be posted.

2 – 5 p.m. | Off-Campus and Commuter Orientation Student Union, Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), 2nd FloorImportant commuter student information and resources for new students living off-campus. Get your ticket to the Welcome Back Picnic and meet other off-campus and commuter students. Park in the Route 32 Parking lot

8 – 8:45 a.m. | Breakfast for Commuter StudentsStudent Union, Commuter Lounge, Room 100 SouthOrientation staff will take all commuter students to the Athletic & Wellness Center to be seated/meet with their Orientation Leader.

8:45 a.m. | Meet up with your Orientation LeaderMeet in your designated location and head to the Athletic & Wellness Center.

9 – 10:15 a.m. | Jump Start Your First SemesterAthletic & Wellness CenterLearn about the Co-Curricular Transcript, voter registration, the Student Involvement Fair, Greek Life, campus sustainability, internships, volunteer opportunities, and the Enough is Enough Initiative. Sponsored by the Office of Student Activities & Union Services, The Career Resource Center, the Dean of Students, and the Office of Campus Sustainability. Get your ticket for free ice cream for tonight’s Ice Cream Social.

10:30 a.m. | Meet the Faculty**Your OL will take you to the following appropriate location based on your major to have the opportunity to meet with the Deans of the schools you will be studying in. OL’s will then pick you up at 11:15 a.m. to take your class photo before Fall Convocation begins.

12 p.m. | Fall Convocation**Athletic & Wellness CenterCongratulations! You are the sixth class to participate in our student-focused, interactive Convocation experience.  We look forward to celebrating your arrival (but can’t disclose all the cool details). Your Orientation Leader will take you to the lineup area and all students must be seated for Convocation by 11:45 am. To show your New Paltz pride, please be sure to wear your blue New Paltz t-shirt you received at Orientation. Meal tickets for the All Campus BBQ will only be distributed once you are seated inside the gym. See you there!

Note: Sensory-Friendly entrance to convocation available. Please see an Orientation Leader or campus staff member.

1 p.m. | All Campus BarbecueParker QuadJoin faculty, staff, and other students for some lunch and music hits by DJ Claudio on the lawn. Please note that Peregrine will not be serving lunch and all new students must receive a meal ticket at Convocation in order to get into the barbecue.
