HISTORY
The need for hostel in university premises was felt by students as well as theuniversity staff. Before the construction of hostel here in H-10.Students wereresiding in Faisal mosque hostel which was very far from the university andcaused a lot of inconvenience to the students as well as the universitymanagement in case of transportation. Then foundation for the hostel ofinternational Islamic university was laid in late 90s. It was completed in2003.After its completion the students were assigned rooms and the hostelbecame fully functional. The requirement for hostels was also felt because therewere students from far of places within the country as well as foreign studentsstudying in university and most of them could not make any settlements for theirliving.
There were two blocks made for the female students with 300 rooms in eachblock and 4 blocks made for the male students.Today international Islamic university stands proud as it has one of the largestnetwork of hostels with almost 5000 students availing this facility.

1 Whenever there are seats available in hostel, admission department of
hostel announces for application for the students who want to getadmission in hostel, or are from far areas and living private hostels.2 Due date is also announced from the department, so that the students
submit their applications within that due date.3 Then priority is given to the senior students for the seats available in
hostel according to their degree programmes.4 After that student are assigned hostel block, room number plus room type

the hostel administrator student becomes member of hostel, and she hasbeen issued a hostel identification card. Now she can get entry in hosteleasily every time whenever hostel guards check that card for identificationof hostilities.

CRITICAL ANALYSIS.
By conducting this project we came to know that all the hostels of international
Islamic university are fully functional but there are many problems that are facedby the students of the university.
Many of the students are satisfied with the room type they are living in and theylike their due to various reasons some of being because of good room mates, goodlocation of the room and the type of room they are living in.
Almost 95% students are not satisfied with the mess facility which is beingprovided in the hostel by the administration. According to the students they arewilling to pay any amount of money for messing if they are provided with qualityfood. Some of the students said that the food that they get in mess is mostly not
properly cooked. Sometimes the food gets finished before the mess timing is overand many of the students dont get anything to eat. Students also complained thatthe employees of the mess very frequently misbehave with the students if they askfor more serving. With the recent increment in fee of the mess most of thestudents have started their own cooking system. They say that as the food isntworth for what we are paying for therefore we like to cook for our self instead oftaking the mess. Also a major problem faced by the students is the timing of themess. In afternoon the food is served at 12:30Pm till 1:30 pm and at this timestudents have classes and the employees of the mess dont give their meal to betaken in room so they can eat it after the class or they dont keep their meal in themess so they can take afterwards and the dinner timings are from 730 to 830
which is very early as students say that they study till late I night and night theyagain feel hungry.
The market visiting facility is somewhat appreciated by the students but theywant a change in the places that the buses go. as they only go to Friday market,Sunday market and to Karachi company whereas student requested they shouldbe taken to sadder bazaar once a month.
Hostel security is an issue with which all of the students seemed very muchsatisfied. The environment all in all is not a problem for the student as its very clam andpeaceful with no fights and issues to look for. but talking about the hygieniccondition of the hostel, they really bad and need to be solved as kitchens andwashrooms are really very dirty although they are cleaned daily basis even thenthey are in worst of their conditions. Not only they should be cleaned in properand hygienically way but also the damaged things should be repaired too. Thecleaning staff should also be called on Sundays so the hostel should be cleaned onthe weekends too.

ORGANIZATION BEHAVIOUR
The behavior of employees is also not very encouraging as they dont cooperatewith the students living in hostel and dont provide any kind of help to thestudents.Students want more facilities in the fee which they are paying as according tothem other hostels take less fee and give more facilities like television, laundry
etc.
All in the conclusion of the whole analysis is that students are not satisfied withwhat they are paying for they want good quality food with good hygienicconditions and good living conditions. The management of the university should pay attention to these issues.

RECOMODITIONS
The mess condition needs an immediate action as the basic issue students arefacing are of mess. The quality of food should be made better and the timing of
the serving of food should be flexible the timing of the students convenience.
The market visits should be broadening to more places which can be on monthlybasis.
Hostel management should assure the behavior of the employees with thestudent is good and that there problems are being solved also they should beencouraged to ask the students if they have any problem and shouldcommunicate those problems to the concerned people so that they may getsolved.
Students should be provided with more facilities that they desire with minimumcharges taken from the students.
