Do you work most effectively when your boss controls every part of everything you do? Or would this drive you mad, so that you'd just do what he or she wanted (and nothing more), look for another job, and then leave? Or would you prefer a boss who helps you to do your best, increasingly trusts your judgment, allows you to use your creativity, and step-by-step gives you more control over your job? Would you work more effectively for a Theory X or Theory Y manager? Learn from this! As it is for you, it will be for many of the members of your team!

Without concern for people, satisfaction, motivation, and team spirit will suffer and performance will ultimately suffer Consideration and initiating structure is not conflicting towards each other, if you remember, I put the two arrow not directly hitting each other. This is to show that they are not conflicting each other. can both exist together.

As a great leader, one should be able to exhibit both sets of behaviors, and they should use those behaviors as needed. Well we believe that flexibility is very important because as a future manager, you guys will face lots of different situation where you will have to use consideration and sometimes initiating structure style.

All these are useful means to influence your team members’ behavior. However, as an effective manager and as well as a leader, emphasis must be made on reward, referent and expert power. In contrast, less reliant on coercive and legitimate power.
