Sustainability Wool and Mohair
Creating a strong business and building a better world are not conflicting goals –they are both essential ingredients for long-term success
- Bill Ford -
Wool and mohair sustainability strategyfor:
1. Environmental Management(Including Animal Wellbeing)
2. Quality Standards
3. Corporate Social responsibility
4. Economic Viability
Without all 4 our business cannot be sustainable
..
• Doing more with less
• Managing and maintaining
standards
• Human resources
Elements of resilience
Greater importance needs to be placed on research and the use of technology in precision farming as well as the development of sophisticated supply chains in order to distribute agricultural
produce more efficiently.
Responsible wool standard
a
International involvement and trade certfication
Goal of Sustainable Development“ To meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability to meet
the needs of the future…in this generation and in generations to come.”
We are “borrowing” the Earth from our children, and their children, and their children…
