1. General settings



To configure general extension settings please go to Stores -> Configuration -> Order Attributes

Set the option to ‘Yes’ if you want to display custom order attributes on the checkout progress bar (see page 15).

Turn this option to ‘Yes’ to hide attributes with empty values on the checkout progress sidebar.

Define whether to include order attributes in PDF documents (invoices and shipping slips). You can also decide where do display order attributes (invoices/shipment grid and view).

To manage order attributes please go to Sales -> Manage Order Attributes


Click here to add a new attribute.

2. Create a new attribute

Edit already existing attributes.

Select the store view for which the attribute will be available.




Specify the attribute title and code. The code will be used only for internal needs.

NOTE: after the attribute code is specified and saved it can’t be changed.

Specify customer groups for which the attribute will be available.

Choose whether the attribute will be optional or required. If the option is set to ‘Yes’ customers won’t be able to leave it blank.

Select the field type, enter default value, if needed, specify whether the attribute should be displayed on the front end, etc.

It’s possible to choose various input types depending on your specific needs.

Choose at which checkout step the attribute will be shown: • Shipping; • Review & Payments;



Specify the display order for frontend sorting.

If you set ‘Save Entered Value For Future Checkout’ option to ‘Yes’, registered customers will need to fill in the field only once, after that the field will be auto-populated (with possibility to edit).

You can specify whether to include each particular order attribute in PDF documents and HTML printouts. NOTE: Configuration settings need to be turned to ‘Yes’ to make the option work (see page 4).

Enable the option if you want to make one of the values chosen by default in the attribute field on the frontend.

Specify an attribute field name that will be displayed on the frontend page.


Specify attribute values if necessary.

Specify particular shipping methods to show the extra attribute only to those customers who choose specified methods.

Display a handy calendar for ‘Date’ and ‘Date and Time’ input types. The calendar appears once a customer clicks on the attribute field.

The additional attributes are displayed in the checkout progress bar. If you would like to disable them in the bar please go to admin panel -> System -> Configuration -> Order Attributes (see page 3).
