105 Report. 24 July 1738, that the subscribers viewed the roads and the road cannot go a better way than It do go, and what has been used by everybody senoe the Mountains has bin seated, without going through Mr. Taylor's corn feald. Rlohd. Winslow Thos. Whatt Order, 17 Feb. 1735 [1736], that Andrew Harrison, James Cox, Henry Held and Isaao Bledsoe appraise the estate of Samuel Hens ley. Order. 21 Jan. 1734 [1735]. Mr. Robert Slaughter, Mr. Abraham Field. Mr, Robert Green and Mr. Samuel Ball are desired to view the Rapldan above and below Germanna for a convenient place to keep a ferry and wait on Colo. Spotswood to know what terms he would let such a place.

In compliance with order dated 21 Jan. 1734 [1735], we went to Coll, Spotswood to know upon what terms he would let his land for a ferrey at Germanna and his Honor was pleased to say that he would let the plantation at the ferry together with land sefletlant for two hands to work for the term of seven years for 630 pounds of tobaoco per year, but debars the keeping of a tlpllng house or hogs runlng at large at the ferrey plantation. If you understand that William Moulton is in your oounty next Court, please to issue a summons and petition for his bill to me for £2.4.4 cash due per a bill dated 27 Aug. 1735. Petition of John Nalle that he have liberty to clear a Way through some land of Mr. Klncade's and some of Adcock Hobson's for to pass to the chapel and to roal his Tobacoo, there being no other way that he can roal tobaoco into the main road. Petition of Denis Grady, a poor man, that being a poor house-keeper and having a wife with a great oharge of small children, he was perswaded by one Thomas Burn living In the said oounty to break up housekeeping and to bind he [slo] and his wife servants to Burn, promising your petitioner he would take care of his ohildren during their servitude, but the petitioner's wife dying and the said Burn proving so oroaa to your petitioner's small ohildren, that the petitioner was obliedged to bind them out. Your petitioner, having served Burn two years, bought the remainder part of his time, and all the housshould goods which belonged to the petitioner that he took to Burns, he now keeps. He prays the Court to order the petitioner his goods, he being a poor man and not able to go to law.
