New DIMTER concept OptiCut S 90:Economical cutting including all options

High cutting accuracy, flexibility and maximum possible safety: the

new automatic concept of the pushing saw OptiCut S 90 offers all

this and moreover, it is highly productive. You can cut 4 times

more with the OptiCut S 90 in comparison with a manual cross-cut

saw - with half the staff. Or, you increase your timber yield by

optimising. The defects marked by the operator are cut out and

the maximum timber yield of the remaining quality timber is

achieved according to the cutting list. Whether simple cutting

solution or optimising, you decide on the degree of extension –

now or later. Anyway the flexibility remains. For example with the

Whether packets, profiles, single boards or round dowels have to

be cut, with the DIMTER OptiCut S 90 Vario Series all this is

possible – almost without making adjustments on the machine.

A wide model range meets every requirement: The all-purpose S 90,

the S 90 XL – the powerpack for big cross sections, the S 90

Exact – for high-precision cuts, the S 90 Speed – with a capacity

and speed that were, until now, only achieved by throughfeed

saws. A machine concept that can be retro-fitted with many

Feeding, positioning, clamping, cutting:DIMTER automatically secures safety:

Adjustment of the stop, dangerous positioning, manual clamping

and cutting – those times are definitely over. Each OptiCut S 90 car-

ries out these steps exactly, fully automatically and totally effortlessly,

even with unwieldy and heavy workpieces. A pusher feeds and posi-

tions the timber precisely. According to the model, traversing speeds

of pusher of up to 300 m/min. are achieved – a considerable increase

in productivity with maximum possible safety and highest conven-

ience for the operator.

Automatic feeding, positioning and cuttingWorkpieces with up to 150 kg are fedand positioned exactly and rapidly by a powerful pusher. The enclosed pusherguide is nearly maintenance-free anddurable. The cut is released automatically.

High safety standardWith the OptiCut S 90 safe operation ispossible: The complete saw area is clearlyvisible, but largely enclosed. The work-pieces are automatically clamped duringpositioning, thus, it is impossible to reach into the cutting area.

The OptiCut S 90 Exact distinguishesitself by high-precision cuts. The control-led lateral pressure for high angularity,the pusher system with positioningaccuracy of + 0.1 mm, and a specialprecision saw aggregate provide for utmost accuracy. This capacity in cuttingwill satisfy even the highest requirements. Demands for exact lengths, angular cutsand a smooth cutting surface are com-pletely met. And even solutions for adecrease of the tear-out are available.

DIMTER OptiCut S 90:The all-purpose starter model

The OptiCut S 90 captivates with itsflexibility. Whether you want to cut packets, profiles, single boards or evenround dowels – from individual cuttingto series production - on the DIMTEROptiCut S 90 all this is possible, almostwithout adjustments on the machine.One of the remarkable features of thestarter model of the Vario Series is thehandling of workpieces with weights upto 100 kg with a positioning accuracy of + 0.5 mm. The cutting in packets re-sults in a multiplication of the cuttingcapacity. We find the best solution foryour production as many options areavailable for the OptiCut S 90 and mostof them (e.g. optimisation, sorting, labelprinter, etc.) can be retro-fitted.

The OptiCut S 90 Speed achieves as apushing saw for the first time the break-through into the performance range ofthroughfeed saws. The top modelSpeed captivates with pure capacity andimpresses with top speed in the produc-tion process – always keeping a sharpeye on the timber yield by means of fulloptimisation. The back stroke, the posi-tioning and the cutting speed achieve intheir combination a capacity that wasonly possible with throughfeed saws until now. Certainly, with all the advan-tages of a pushing saw: flexibility, accu-racy and protection of the workpiece.

DIMTER OptiCut S 90 XL:Specialist for packets and big cross sections

The OptiCut S 90 XL is specially desi-gned for the handling of packets andbig cross sections. Workpieces with aweight of up to 150 kg and a maximumcross section of 280 x 180 mm or 420 x 40 mm can be processed on thissaw. Even with big cross sections a sur-prisingly high cutting capacity andlength accuracy are possible. It goes without saying that practical options areavailable for the OptiCut S 90 XL. Robust mechanisation and sorting solu-tions – also for big cross sections – make the handling of heavy workpieceseasier.

MillVision simplifies your production process, maximises the yield,

minimises the production costs and provides you with exact stati-

stics: With different orders summarized in one cutting list, MillVision

optimises the production process and ensures shorter production

times. Producing more fixed lengths and less waste means lower

investment in timber and therefore more profit. Higher productivity

means lower inventory costs and less semi-finished products, impro-

ved material flow and reduced effort. MillVision compiles the whole

production planning at a single blow.

OptiCut plus MillVisionDue to the perfect cooperation of Opti-Cut and MillVision, raw material of allqualities can be treated in a more eco-nomic way. Interim storage of residualpieces as well as the manual processingand entering of cutting lists become hi-story which, in turn, prevents sources oferrors. MillVision works automaticallyFrom all customer orders that have to beprocessed, MillVision searches all work-pieces of the chosen timber species withthe corresponding cross section andprofile and compiles the correspondingcutting lists that are directly transmittedto the OptiCut.

MillVision organises perfectlyThe cut pieces are marked clearly direct-ly after the cutting process by means ofan integrated label or inkjet printer. Fur-thermore, the OptiCut reports the statusof cut pieces and additional informationback to MillVision. Thus, all data of eachsingle part can be identified always andat each point of the production process.

Certainly, further production machineslike double-end profilers, Conturex,Powermat or Unicontrol can be integra-ted into the system. This will significant-ly reduce your organisational work andyou always have a perfect overview.

DIMTER makes cutting perfect:Solutions after the saw

After the cutting, the precisely cut lengths are ideally controlled.

Via the patented waste gate the pieces are delivered to an automatic

sorting. The simple handling increases productivity and reduces your

costs per piece. We offer complete solutions, specific to the custo-

mers’ requirements, for a modern and future-orientated production.

Each model can be equipped with theautomatic sorting directly behind thesaw blade. The ejectors can be activatedseparately. Also for the cutting of pa-ckets that are put on top of each other,it is possible to do the sorting at anynumber of sorting stations since the boards are delivered directly, i.e. withouta level difference between sorting beltand table.

Waste pieces are reliably discharged di-rectly after the cutting by means of thepatented waste gate – for highestsafety in operation. In addition, the wi-de opening eliminates unnecessary cutsin long waste pieces. Nevertheless, shor-test accepted lengths can be reliablysorted via the automatically closed gap.

OptiCut cross-cut saws are designed forhighly automated working so that youcan deploy your staff for tasks that de-mand more. An enormous increase incapacity is provided by cross feeding de-vices, where the machine can feed itselfautomatically with material comingfrom a buffer magazine. Furthermore,for the OptiCut S 90 Speed a clampingdevice is available that makes the machine even more efficient. Thus, incombination with a cross feeder, reliablehigh daily performances are achieved.

The cutting solutions by DIMTER are automated cross-cut lines with peakperformance coupled with a high safety.Cutting is one of the most importantprocesses in the working of solid woodsince already at this point the yield, and with it the quantity of material thatis available later on, is determined. By means of the intelligent optimisingsoftware you always make the best ofyour timber – the maximum profit. Theoperator marks only the timber defectsand/or different grades of quality, therest is carried out independently by themachine: precisely, quickly, with a mini-mum percentage of waste.

The OptiCut is prepared for the future development of your factory:

Many options can be retro-fitted at a later time. For instance, each

OptiCut with “automatic length measuring” and “detection of

defects” is an adequate optimising cross-cut saw. Intelligent options

include, amongst others, printers for clear marking of the workpieces

and the automatic stacker OptiCut Stacker.

For the clear identification of the piecesafter the cutting, inkjet or label printersare used.

The inkjet printer marks the materialfully automatically with the requesteddata as e.g. length, quality or commissi-on numbers. The workpiece can be mar-ked from top, from the side or even onthe face – without any loss in capacityon the saw.

With the label printer labels can be ge-nerated and applied fully automatically,with the printer being completely inte-grated into the control of the OptiCut S 90. Due to the bar code, the identifi-cation of the piece becomes even machine-readable and further machinesin the production process can evenadapt themselves correspondingly to theworkpiece. Individual designs of the labels are no problem in this situation.

Turn your OptiCut into a fully automaticcross-cut line. We offer you the customi-sed peripheral equipment in a modularsystem. Fully automated lines with crossfeeding and a subsequent OptiCutStacker for the automatic stacking ofpreferred lengths will enable you to cutmore with less staff but with reliablehigh daily performances.
