New Mission for 2012 and Beyond
• The School at St. George Place empowers learners to become principled, compassionate, reflective citizens who construct meaning through rigorous, inquiry-based learning experiences. With open minds and hearts we embrace and respect diversity of culture, ways of learning and living in an international community where building knowledge is a life-long process.

• We were ranked as the 53rd best elementary in Houston by Children at Risk!
• Met the more rigorous federal AYP standards!
• We are officially an IB candidate school & $25,000
Moving from Good to Great!
•The School at St. George Place is bigger than ever. We have added 2 new classrooms to support the growth.
•17 teachers attended Rice Universities summer IB institute to further explore IB curriculum planning.
•Continuation of campus wide attendance challenges= more $$
•Continuation of UTMB Pre-K partnerships.
•Initial year of the Mandarin language arts program for all kinder-fifth grade students
•Expand the brand, 1,000 like challenge!
•Cannot do it alone, we need YOU our amazing PARENTS!
Moving from Good to Great!
•School will continue to utilize balanced literacy framework
•Fidelity of implementation with school wide programs and policies. (no changes on campus this year)
•Continued focus on differentiation to allow us to meet students where they are at.
•Use of researched based instructional practices! (Not Ready, Fire, Aim)
•Longer enrichment times=more time to PLC and Plan
•Meeting the needs of all students: Tutorials and enrichment
•Continuation of 25 after school clubs and programs to help our students become better citizens.

•School will implement 1 million word challenge
•Continuation of technology implementation iPads in all primary classrooms
•Expansion of book buddies and Friday guest reader program
