e-Catalog organizes detailed content about all offered products and services, allows to properly manage, classify and categorize it; and distribute product information to multi-ple channels.

Setting up of prices and availability is one of the inherent steps for the Online Store management. For each item that you plan to sell, you need to specify the price in a price list and make that price list available to your customers. e-Catalog supports pricing agree-ments based on pricing categories. These agreements set up and apply default pricing ru-les for your customers in the Order Management solution. For everyday international trades, the maintenance of currency conversion rates is provi- ded. With e-Catalog pricing capabilities, you can also set up advanced promotions and discounts.

You, as the owner, manage categories of the e-Catalog and determine access for compa-nies-sellers to each category by setting filters. These companies can have access to the category, if they have products of this category in their trading catalog.

Search Capabilities

e-Catalog provides several powerful specific search engines that simplifies product search:

e-Catalog is designed to support:

• Simple search lets users execute the search within one or two search criteria. The simp- le search engine will search within the Manufacture > Product type pattern.

• Advanced search utilizes the sophisticated cross-search procedure allowing complex search schemas. Using the inter-relationship between Catalog structure, Product Properties and Search Settings you can create a comprehensive search procedure. You can execute search within the selected search pattern (Product type > Manufactu- rer > Product family) or broaden the search capabilities by searching within product attributes. A product attribute is a feature and an essential part of the product, like size or weight. You can arrange the searches within the product attributes in any desirable order.

• Search b y keywords. Your users will be able to search for products/services containing specified words and product reference numbers. The results are displayed as links to the relevant products. This search matches whole words or beginnings of words, ends or its middle parts in any order you tell the system to execute search.

Prices & Availability

Products can be interactively compared by product attributes within one product cate-gory. The search will not mak e sense and will not work on items from different catego-ries. Items are compared by identical parameters. You can vary the viewing option to have a narrow view on the attributes to compare. You also can hide Identical Attributes to bring to the forefront only varying attributes.

Basket

While purchasing, user can use the Basket to reserve products if required products are displayed on different pages in e-Catalog. The user can:

• Create several baskets

• Add products to his basket from the e-Catalog

• View the full description of the selected products

• Change the quantity of product units in the basket

• Delete products from his basket

• Create an Order to purchase (assemble) the products placed into the basket.

Wish List

The wish list is used to accumulate selected products in the most efficient way. It is simi-lar to the way you go shopping with a shopping cart. The wish list serves as a container for the favorite items. It can be accessed at any time, can be saved for future use and allows to overview the payment history.

Bookmarks

The user can create links to his favorite Online Store pages and add comments to these bookmarks.

Personal Pages

The personal page allows user to view the order information, statuses of his current orders. On this page the user can also store answers of the technical support team to his requests/questions and other random documents supported to his profile.

Informational model of e-Catalog

The informational model of the e-Catalog corresponds to the following requirements:

• Low support costs

• Ability to store structured the maximum quantity of product technical characteristics• Ability to create the series of automatic services, such as Configuratior, on this informa- tion model.

C O N F I G U R A T O R Customers want product information but having got it also want to compare products and get qualified advice while purchasing. To be successful in online selling, you have to guide your customers to the exact product that meets their unique requirements, re-gardless of the complexity involved.

IT4profit CONFIGURATOR is a complete intelligent solution designed for companies to sell simple to complex products and services online and helps your customers and sales-people themselves assemble PCs with specific configuration. Configurator is able to instantly manage thousands of combinations associated with customizable products. It ensures the compatibility of all components, systems and subsystems and the reliability of the final configured solution.

This is defined by the impossibility to choose incompatible values of components. The rules of compatibility of values of components are defined at Manufacturer's e-Catalog level. Even if a user has minimum computer knowledge, Configurator allows him to pick components and assemble new computer on his own. If the user selects motherboard for Intel Pentium 4 CPU, at the next step he will be offered only components compatible with this particular motherboard. Each component offered is provided with detailed des-cription, product specification and image.

Features of Configurator at a Manufacturer's e-Catalog Level

• Ability to create a system at the level of manufacturers' catalog with the projection of this system features onto the company's commercial catalog

• Ability to create a system with cross-dependence of components (dependence of component's product list on the selection of other components' substitution list)

• Ability to edit manually the list of product substitutions

• Ability to set the manufacturer and the system type

• Ability to set the rules of code generation and description of the system

• Ability to set the order of system configuration.

Features of Configurator at a Company's e-Catalog Level

• Ability to exclude goods from system components • Ability to create systems with selected component values as of products in the manu- facturer's catalog and goods in the company's catalog• Ability to hide some specific system components from user selection

• Ability to set the type of system configuration by the user.

Options

ORDER MANAGEMENT

Step-by-Step. The user can select component values in turn, in accordance with the quence order of components set on e-Catalog level. As a result, the user gets the system

with the ability to further setting it up within the limits determined by initial selection and components dependence. Interactive. User changes system's configuration within the limits determined by initial selection made by company's manager while creating the pro-duct.

Bill of Materials

The Bill of Materials defines and manages the components and structure of the product being configured. The Bill of Materials is presented as assembly trees that depict a hierar-chical structure for the components and parts which make up the purchased product. Whether created or imported, components are stored in the customer's library. The assembly structure in the Bill of Materials allows users to quickly find, define and modify assemblies, subassemblies and parts. It allows simple and quick cross-referencing of component information in the configuration process.

Configurator allows users to assign Options to the Bill of Materials components and Opti-on Mixes to the Bill of Materials end-items. Users can then generate a specific Bill of Mate-rials view for a particular model, or display the generic view which lists all components used in all models.

IT4profit CONNECTIVITY CENTRE provides connectivity between the modules of the On-line Store (e-Catalog, Configurator, Order Management) and your ERP system. Our con-nectors act as software translators that take information from your ERP and convert it into a format that e-commerce understands; and vice versa convert data placed online and deliver it to your ERP.

The Connectivity Centre allows you and your customers to make transactions such as price lists, purchase orders, advanced s hipping notifications with each other and can translate these transactions seamlessly into their preferred formats such as CSV, XML, EDI and RosettaNet.

Thus a customer can create his order at your Online Store and send it to your back office via our connectors. The connectors translate that into your ERP system's preferred format. Then you send the order acknowledgement from your ERP to the web and the connec-tors translate that into the web format. All processes are fully automated and are fulfilled without human intervention.
