Before you start a conversa,on:  

1) Awareness & Perceptions (Reality Check)

2) Scenarios & Perspectives (Goals)    

3) Possibilities & Alternatives (Solu,ons)  

4) Actions & Measures (Execu,on)  

ASPA Model:

Do the assessments or conduct feedbacks sessions from the people around the EP to examine the current realities.

1)  Awareness & Perceptions (Reality  Check):  

What are the qualities the EP want to developand the behaviors that they want to change, and then structure this change as a goal in their personal development plan.

Make sure that this is a SMART goal:Specific,  Measurable,  A:ainable,  Realis<c,  and  Time-­‐bound.  

2) Scenarions & Perspectives(Goals):  

Once the EP have explored the current reality, it's time to determine what is possible – meaning all of the possible options for reaching their objective.

3) Possibilities & Alternatives(Solu<ons):  

The final step is to get the EP to commit to specific actions in order to move forward towards their goal.

In doing this, you will help the EP establish his will and boost her motivation.

4)  Actions & Measures(Execu<on):  

1) Plan the questions

2) Use more open questions

3) Speak your listener’s language

4) Ask one thing one time

5) Don’t interrupt

How to ask Questions:  

Questions to ask in ASPA Model

What skills/knowledge/attributes do you have? What is working well right now? What are your strengths & weakness?

1) Awareness & Perceptions(Reality Check):  

What do you want to achieve?What is important to you right now? What areas do you want to work on?

2) Scenarios & Perspectives(Goals):  

How have you tacked this/ a similar situation before? What could you do differently? If anything was possible what would you do? What obstacles stand in your way?

3) Possibilities & Alternatives(Solutions):  

What will you do now?What could stop you from moving forward? How will you do to overcome this?How can you keep yourself motivated?When do you need to review progress? - Daily, weekly, monthly?

4) Actions & Measures(Execution):
