One Page Publishing Secrets
Did you know that one of the best ways to earn money online
is by creating one-page products such as cheat sheets, tip
sheets, and checklists? These items are easy to create, popular
with consumers, and inexpensive to publish. In this short report I’ll
share some strategies for making money with one page of
content.
What Are One-Pagers?
One-pagers are brief publications that contain extremely valuable
and useful information, assisting users to thoroughly complete a
task or achieve a goal. We call them one-pagers because they
are best when kept brief (they don’t have to be literally always be
one page, but they should be brief), especially as they are most
often used as a quick reference tool. The three most common
types of one-pagers are:
Cheat sheets
Tip Sheets

Checklists
One page products are quick to make and can be used in so
many ways, but most marketers completely overlook them. Just
look at some of the ways these micro-products can be used:
List building – As a subscriber incentive (lead magnet)
Bonuses – To a larger product, as free content to your list or
your social media followers, or to go with an affiliate sale
Upsells – to a product you made or as an add-on to an
affiliate sale
Print – pass out locally or at events, add to physical product
purchases
Stand Alone – A good one page product can be sold all by
itself, if the information is needed and/or the price is right
Bundle – Put several related one page products together into
a comprehensive package
As a service- create one pages for: other businesses,
authors, product creators, online marketers, and more

Let’s dig into the most popular types of one-page style content.
Cheat Sheets
A cheat sheet is one-page document that is meant to help people
remember how to do a particular process or to provide them with
basic information on a topic.
Both digital and physical cheat sheets are extremely popular.
These sheets are often designed to hang in a handy spot in the
home, such as on a refrigerator door or in a bathroom. They are
sometimes sold as add-ons to existing products or given away as
bonuses. They may also be used as lead magnets to entice
people to sign up for a mailing list.
Another name for cheat sheet is quick reference guide - most of
you probably recognize the term from the IT and software
industries. When you purchase a new computer, it almost always
has a Quick Start Guide which is just what is needed to get you
set up.

Tip Sheets
A tip sheet is just what it sounds like: a one-page document that
contains an array of tips or hacks focused on a particular topic or
endeavor.
The primary difference between a cheat sheet and a tip sheet is
that a cheat sheet usually contains short-cuts and specific
information to help you do something.
While tip sheets are similar to cheat sheets, the primary difference
is that a tip sheet gives the end user additional or alternative ways
to do something, instead of walking them through something step-
by-step.

Checklists
A checklist is simply a list of things that someone might need to
do, bring, pack, or buy for a single purpose. These may often be

in cumulative or numbered steps as well. Do this first, this second,
etc.

Differences between One-Pagers
A cheat sheet is usually meant to help people perform a task or to
remember key information that may help them in an endeavor.
For example, a simple online search reveals cheat sheets for:
Telling the difference between Italian wines
Setting up a WordPress blog
Remembering knitting stitches
Using camera lenses
These are just a few examples. A well-designed cheat sheet can
help you remember key information and perform unfamiliar or
rarely-done tasks.
By contrast, a tip sheet usually consists of general tips and hacks
that focus on a particular topic. For example, you might find tip
sheets with advice about:
Preparing your taxes
Brewing beer at home

Getting your house ready to sell
Benefits of One Page Content
If you have or want to build an audience, whether they read your
blog, buy products from you, or look to you as an authority, you
can use one-page publishing to provide them with value and to
help market your products, services, or advice.
Creating Your One Pagers
Now you know why one-pagers why one-pagers are some of the
most valuable content you can create…let’s discuss how to put
them together.
Successful one-pagers are a simple five step process:
1. Find a hot topic or subtopic suitable for a one pager.
2. Grab your content
3. Format
4. Monetize

5. Promote
6. Optional-Repurpose, rinse, and repeat
Here are some tips to keep in mind:
Your one pager should not require additional explanation or
research to be useful.
Each piece of content relates directly to the overall subject of
your proposed one-pager.
Focus each one-pager on a single topic, and then break it up
into subtopics for clarity and readability.
Group like items together on your checklist – for example, if
you’re creating a packing checklist, put all clothing items
together.
When gathering content for your one-pagers, I suggest you pull all
of your content together into a document that you can easily use
to copy and paste into your one-page format.

One Page Formatting Best Practices
If you want your one-pager to be memorable, useful, and help you
achieve your goals, then you need to make sure that it adheres to
the most important one-page best practices.
I’m talking about things like formatting, copy, bullet points, and
readability. You need to ensure that any one-pager you create
delivers on all fronts so that users immediately see the value in it.
Attractive Layout
Since most cheat sheets and tip sheets are designed to be used
repeatedly, it’s a good idea to make yours attractive and easy to
read.
Here are some design elements to consider when designing your
one-pager:
1. Make sure that the page isn’t too crowded. White space (the
space between and around elements) is important.

2. Use complementary and contrasting colors to make
important information stand out or to help visually distinguish
text.
3. Include carefully-selected images to enhance your content
and make your one-pager attractive to look at.
4. Limit your tips on a tip sheet to 6 to 12 total tips so they all fit
on one page, and limit each tip to 1-3 lines at most.
5. Use bold and italics to emphasize key points and visually
highlight the most important elements of your content.
6. Include a call to action on your one-pager. Tell your readers
what you want them to do- click a link, visit a website, etc.
Publishing Your One Pagers
The easiest way to publish your one pager is to convert it to PDF
and offer it as a digital download. If you want a professional look, I
suggest using Canva, a free drag-and-drop tool that comes with a
ton of templates.

If you want to compile multiple one-pagers into a book or a longer
document, you can use a free pdf compiler like
https://www.pdfmerge.com/ or a paid one like Adobe Acrobat.
You can also design your one-pagers in Word or a similar word
processing program, and then convert those to PDF.
The bottom line is that one-pagers are very easy to create and
distribute. They don’t take as much time as books, and they’re
even faster to create than low-content books like coloring books.
That makes them a great opportunity for you to establish authority
and grow your brand.
Get Started Today
My favorite thing about creating one-page publications is that I
can then repurpose them in a variety of ways. It’s very rewarding
to take a single tip sheet, cheat sheet or checklist and turn it into
multiple income streams and products. In fact, I think publishing
one-pagers is the perfect model for people who want to become
financially independent.
