RULES and CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Please Read This Page Carefully LEGAL LIABILITY: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis. HEALTH, SAFETY & WELFARE: The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 1. INSURANCE: All non Pony Club competitors/spectators are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The Hampshire Hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you. 2. All persons entering the showground shall be bound by these Rules and Conditions of Entry. 3. This event will be run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2016 throughout the day. Please note NEW rulings on hats, body protectors and air jackets. Fully comprehensive rules are available on the main Pony Club website: Pony Club 2016 Eventing Rules 4. Cancellation/Abandonment: In the event of cancellation or abandonment, entry fees will be returned, less an administration fee of £10.00 per competitor, to offset costs. Monies will only be returned upon receipt of an SAE within 5 days of the event. 5. Refunds: No entry will be refunded after the entry closing date of Friday 19 th August 2016, without the production of a Doctor’s or Vet’s certificate within 3 days of the event. 6. Team Entries: Details of Team entries must be received by close of entries. Any team changes before this date should be emailed directly to the entries secretary. No team changes can be made on the day. 7. The judges’ decision is final in all matters. Video evidence will not be accepted in any circumstances. The committee reserves the right to cancel, add to or amend any of the conditions or competitions as they think fit and to refuse entry at their discretion. 8. Protests or objections must be made in writing and addressed to the Official Steward accompanied by a £20 deposit, returnable if the objection is upheld, within 30 minutes of the incident occurring or within 30 minutes of the results being announced. 9. Hats: All competitors must wear a protective helmet manufactured to the minimum standards stated in the current Pony Club rules. When mounted the chinstrap must be fastened at all times. 10. Hats & Body Protectors will be inspected when collecting numbers (£10 returnable deposit). 11. No jewellery or piercings may be worn. 12. Any Pony Club members using spurs must have a signed spurs card from their DC, which should be available to be viewed at any time during the competition. 13. Horses/ponies must not be exercised near horseboxes. Please park where instructed by the stewards. 14. Please ensure that your horse/pony has an up to date vaccination certificate, which is available to be checked on the day if required. 15. Horses and ponies must be over 4 years old on the day of the competition. 16. Please do not muck out lorries/trailers into the parking area, and do not leave any litter. If possible, please remove droppings and hay. Class 1: PC 90 Team & Individuals Incorporating the Southern Novice Eventing Championships Dressage Test: PC Novice Eventing Test 2013 Show Jumping: Maximum 95cms Cross Country: Maximum 90cms Entry Fee: £45.00 Class 2: PC 80 Teams & Individuals Dressage Test: PC Grassroots Dressage Test 2016 Show Jumping: Maximum 85cms Cross Country: Maximum 80cms Entry Fee: £45.00 Class 3: PC 70 Teams & Individuals Dressage Test: PC Introductory Dressage Test 2007 For this class only the dressage test may be commanded. Hats & Body Protectors must be presented for inspection at the

Secretary’s Tent when collecting number bibs, for which a £10 returnable deposit will be required.

CHANGE WILL NOT BE GIVEN SO PLEASE HAVE THE CORRECT MONEY.

It is a condition of entry that all HH members provide a cake

and an adult helper at some point during the day.

Riders eliminated SJ may be allowed to go XC at the discretion of the organisers.

Prize Giving will be unmounted.

Riders should be correctly dressed.

We have been asked by the Parish Council to remind all drivers that there is a 6’6" width restriction for the road into Rogate from the North (Rake Direction) and no horse boxes are allowed to use this road and if they come into Rogate it must be on the main road A272 before turning south towards Fair Oak. If you need further clarification, please consult the website www.fair-oak.co.uk for a specific map.
