You'll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade. I'll be all in clover: And when they look you over, I'll be the proudest fellow in the Easter Parade. On the avenue, Fifth Avenue; The photographers will snap us, And you'll find that you're in the rotogravure; I could write a sonnet, About your Easter bonnet, And of the girl I'm taking to the Easter Parade.

The other night, dear, As I lay sleeping, I dreamt I held you in my arms, When I awoke, dear, I was mistaken And I hung my head and cried.

I'll always love you and make you happy If you will only love me too, But if you leave me to love another You'll regret it all some day.

Today you celebrate 100 years of devotion, hard work, sharing and togetherness. Way to go!! !! !! ! You should be proud, so let it show. Times have changed, people too, needs are just as great in this era we are going through. Making quilts and jam to send to those in need, was your goal in the beginning, doing for others makes life worth living. Preparing and serving Aylmer Fair dinners is now in the past, the Lioness you now feed each month will hopefully last. Over the years sponsoring Fair Queen's and now Ambassadors have been a success, with many winners to add to the list. Presidents have come and gone, and members too. Secretaries and treasurers their jobs are demanding. Volunteers and committee's giving their support, have always been outstanding. I remember going to meetings with my mother, in my early years, hoping I could join and become a member. Helping at fair dinners brought back the yerning, makes me proud to belong to this organization of women. The laughter and information is never ending. Each of the ladies had their own unique way of making you feel welcome by the end of the day. Supporting your community throughout the years. Makes you a success, to all of us here. After 100 years all we can say is "WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!" You should be proud, so let it show.

    SeniorJt~_rJt~oqelebrates 35 years Dutton-Dunwich Senior's Centre started

35 years ago in Vema McCready's house. McCready, who was in her 40s, says her

mother and her friends needed somewhere to meet and needed to socialize.

She invited some friends over and from that the Adult Club began.

Now, with a much enjoyed centre on Main Street in Dutton, the club has become a cen-tre point for seniors to meet.

About 50 people met for cake and music to celebrate 35 years Feb. 7.

Four of the original five ladies that started the centre were in attendance: McCready, Dessie Cook, Elsie Heeney, and Eileen McTavish. Jane Barnett sent her regards.

Current centre president Louie Lackey led a synopsis of centre history describing its growth from McCready's home to the current location in 1992.

The centre serves as a popular meeting. place for coffee and socializing every morn-ing, cards and self-entertaining. McCready says it StiJl fits the visions estab- 35 yearS JEFF KEMPENAAMHE CHRONICLE
