Each year we challenge teens to design sustainable fashions that bring awareness to environmental issues using recycled materials. Teens devote an average of 70+ hours designing their fashions. They participate in Make It Work Days that include college level coursework in fashion design, concept development and pattern-making. The culmination of their hard work is YAA’s Annual Recycled Fashion Show, complete with runway, music, hair and make-up professionals, judges and 350+ guests in attendance.

On Friday, November 17, 2017 Young At Art Museum will present its 12th Annual Recycled Fashion Show, celebrating the creativity and environmental voice of teens from the museum’s Volunteer Program and PACE Center Broward, an alternative high school for at-risk teen girls.

YAA’s Annual Recycled Fashion Show is a unique opportunity to empower girls to contribute to environmental awareness and sustainability.

Proceeds from the event benefit the underserved – more than 5,000 homeless children, low-income families and at-risk teen girls served through YAA’s community programs annually. YAA’s Annual Recycled Fashion Show is fundamental to both environmental awareness and supporting children and families in need in our community.
