on a dog park for Heathcote

The City of Greater Bendigo is looking at three different options for a new fenced dog park in Heathcote and would like residents to have a say on the site you think is the most suitable.

The City has allocated $85,000 in its 2019/20 Council Budget towards the project. The first step in this process is to determine the most suitable site for the dog park and the three options are located at:

Option A - Depot Road

Option B - Herriot Street

Option C - Pink Cliffs Road

Maps of each site, along with the strengths and limitations of each option, are detailed on the following pages.

The City is committed to providing attractive and accessible public parks for members of the community and visitors to enjoy. As pet ownership increases and house lots get smaller there is a greater need to provide spaces for owners and pets to access areas to exercise and socialise.

The City is keen to hear from members of the Heathcote community about their preferred option for a dog park.
