Operations Of Indepth Exploration

Indepth Exploration actively lease and drill oil and gas wells throughout North America and Southern Argentina,S.A, drilling both vertical and horizontal wellbores, applying new trends and technology in the petroleum industry.

4D Seismic Imaging

Time-lapse 3D, or 4D, seismic technology is the use of 3D seismic surveys acquired at different times in the productive life of a reservoir.

Seismic data from current and past surveys can both be loaded into seismic software which is used in 3D seismic interpretation.

This seismic could have come from either land or sea acquisition.

Advanced 3D Seismic Interpretation

3D seismic is extremely expensive. Second, 3D seismic is good at showing structural traps but not so good at showing stratigraphic traps.

Finally, 3D seismic cannot help the PG tell if the rocks contain oil or gas, since many traps are full of water, or the porosity might not be sufficiently-developed to call it a “trap” at all.

Only by drilling a well can the presence of oil or gas be established.

Hydraulic Fracturing

A liquid mix that is 99 percent water and sand is injected into the rock at very high pressure, creating fractures within the rock that provide the oil and natural gas a path to flow to the wellhead.

The fracking fluid mix also helps to keep the formation more porous.

Hydraulic fracturing is now widely used, with more than 90 percent of the oil and natural gas wells.

Slimhole Drilling

Slimhole drilling is a slimmer hole in the ground to get to oil and natural gas deposits.

It can significantly improve the efficiency of drilling operations, as well as decrease its environmental impact.

It is providing an efficient means for extracting more oil and natural gas from un-depleted fields.

Measurement While Drilling Tools

Measurement while drilling is a tool that transmits information in real time from the tool, located near the drill bit, to the surface.

This improves drilling efficiency and accuracy in the drilling process, allows better formation evaluation as the drill bit encounters the underground formation, and reduces the chance of formation damage and blowouts.

Underbalanced Drilling

Underbalanced drilling is a drilling technique that hydrostatic pressure from drilling mud is less than reservoir pressure.

It can be created by using low weight fluids as base oil, fresh water which has less hydrostatic pressure than the expected formation pressure.

The main advantage of Underbalanced drilling is to minimized formation damage in reservoir.

How the government treats oil and gas investing

The Tax Reform Act (Act), enacted in 1986, made significant changes to the tax laws as they apply to oil and gas investments. In general, more of the tax burden from individuals to corporations.

Tangible Oil & Gas Drilling Costs

Currently, the drilling of an oil and/or gas well is considered to be production of an asset. The tangible costs associated with drilling a well are capitalized and amortized over a seven (7) year period, beginning with the month in which they are paid.
