Our museum houses a major collection of antiquities from the regions of ancient Egypt. Iran, Iraq. Israel, Nubia, Syria, and Turkey, mainly dating from between 10,000 B e-AD 6S0.These lands were called the " Orient" at the turn of the la st century when University of Chicago archaeologists began unearthing many of the artifacts now on view in the museum. Bilingual interactive kiosks and activity ca r ds supply additional information about the exhibits.
