About WalgreensWalgreen Co. owns and operates one of the largest drugstore chains with almost 9,560 store locations within the United States. As a subsidiary of Walgreens Boots Alliance, off ers everything from prescription and nonprescription drugs, as well as general merchandise, including household items, convenience and fresh foods, personal care, beauty care, photofi nishing and candy. Located only 5 miles from each location, Walgreens off ers a Prescription drug service that is its economic backbone, accounting for 67% of sales with retail products accounting for 33%.

In 2018, Wagreens acquired 1,932 stores and three distribution centers from its competitor Rite Aid. These locations are planed to be intergrated into its constantly growing and expanding, by the end of 2020. The integration will further increase the company’s presence and help it achieve the recognition as the country’ largest drug store chain.
