HTTP://WWW.POERUP.ORG.UK/MAPTYPES/ THIS IS THE FINAL RESULT OF THE PEORUP PROJECT:

Page 8: OER in Italy: policies and initiatives in school and university
Page 9: OER in Italy: policies and initiatives in school and university

My own methodology

1. Revise the policies and initiatives listed in 2012;

2. Use my own knowledge to integrate them;

3. Asking experts I know;

4. Search in the web through engines or learning networks.

Page 10: OER in Italy: policies and initiatives in school and university

My own first impression

1. Data of 2012 was widely obsolete;

2. I mostly knew already 90% of what the bankrupted guys listed;

3. All the people I’ve contacted wanted to know more about the research;

4. Searching in the internet brought me to a maze of self-styled OER’s and MOOCs.

OER?

What is a real OER? What does defines a resource as a OER? What is open or free or not? What is really a re-usable resource?

Skuola.net

As far as we know, this website was born as an online community for school students in order to share experiences and notes on any subject or lecture.

Now it has become a very interesting business site where students of every educational level can sell (or buy) their notes.

Book in Progress

The project results and methodologies are quite controversial, as an article (that can be read here http://stop.zona-m.net/it/2012/02/cosa-ci-insegnano-i-testi-scolastici-di-book-in-progress/) demonstrate. In fact, the level of ‘openness’ and the use of Creative Commons licencing is not fully clear.

Quality is an issue.
