Overview of the unit

In this unit of work you should have reviewed, designed and created a 45 second audio clip using Audacity

It was based around promoting a competition / local business or a new product on a local radio station

• AO2 – Design an audio clip

• AO3 – Create an audio clip

Assessment Objective Work to complete

AO1

Review

You must list the good and not so good features of at least 2 different audio clips

AO2

Design

You must describe the aim of your audio clip

You must create a simple storyboard covering the main elements of your audio clip

AO3

Create

The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long

The audio clip makes some use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, and effects

The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format

AO4

Test

You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 3 tests

You will identify areas for improvement

Review

You must give a detailed explanation (a list with reasons) of the good and not so good features of at least 2 different audio clips

You must also identify the aim of the audio clips

Design

You must describe the aim and audience of your audio clip

You must create a simple storyboard with a clear structure covering the main elements of your audio clip

AO3

Create

The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long

The audio clip must be appropriate

The audio clip makes good use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, splitting/trimming clips and effects

The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format

AO4

Test

You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 4 tests which cover the main areas of your audio clip

You will identify areas for improvement and action 1 of them

You must describe thoroughly the aim and audience of your audio clip

You must create a simple storyboard with a good structure covering all the main elements of your audio clip

AO3

Create

The audio clip must be at least 45 seconds long

The audio clip must be appropriate and meet the identified aims

The audio clip makes good use of: importing components, cutting, copying and pasting, splitting/trimming clips, silencing/fading and effects

The audio clip will be exported in a suitable file format

AO4

Test

You must test your audio clip using a test table containing at least 5 tests

The tests will cover the main areas of your audio clip and will be appropriate

You will identify areas for improvement and action most of them
