Relative Location: describing location in relation to someplace else (Las Cruces is north of El Paso, for example)

In today’s lesson and activities, we will be describing absolute location

Given a map of North America with Latitude and Longitude lines and cities marked on the map:

Find the coordinates of the cities and write them next to the appropriate city

Note: even though we all know that North America is in the Northern and Western Hemispheres, your coordinates still need to include the N-S and E-W part of the coordinates.

HOMEWORK

Given a map of North America with Latitude and Longitude lines and cities marked on the map:

Identify cities using their Latitude and Longitude coordinates

Remember that your parent/guardian must sign the assignment or it will not be accepted for scoring. Late work procedures will apply in this case.
