Introduction:
Organizational behaviour has been introduced as an important part of an organization for
accomplishing several various tasks of the organization in an effective manner. The
organizational structure and culture of the organization also plays the significant role for
maintaining several activities of the organization that could be helpful for meeting the various
goals and objectives of the organization. This particular report manly highlights the different
types of relationship between the organizational structure and culture of the organization. This
report also focuses on the different types of factors of the behaviour of the organization that
influences the performance of an organization. Various leadership styles and theories of
leadership also have been described in accordance with the given case scenario. This report also
focuses on the different types of motivational theories in accordance with the given case
scenario. The last part of this report mainly focuses on the concepts of group behaviours and
nature of group behaviour.

1.2 Relationship between structure and culture of an organization that influence on the
performance of the business
The organizational structure and culture of the organization plays an effective role for improving
the performance of the business operations in the workplaces of the organization. For effectively
understanding of the concepts of organizational structure and culture Tesco plc. has been chosen
in this part of the report. The organizational structure mainly includes different factors of the
organization such as internal and external environment, leadership style and the culture of the
organization. In accordance with the observation of Charteris-Black, (2007) it can be understood
that the skeleton of the organizational hierarchy which maintains line of commands can be
considered as the organizational structure. The organizational structure helps to maintain the
different types of rules and regulations of the organization that helps to take effective decision
for sustainable growth of the organization.
Tesco maintains a formal structure of the organizational hierarchy which includes top level
management to lower level management and employees. The top level management of Tesco is
mainly responsible for taking various decisions that could be beneficial for meeting the
objectives of the organization in a proper way. The lower level management of Tesco is
responsible for maintaining the various tasks of the organization by motivating people in the
workplaces of the organization. Relationship with the co-workers in the workplaces is quite
important for improving performance of the organization. The culture, external and internal
environmental factors and the culture of the Tesco helps to improve the performance of the
employees in the workplaces of the organization.
According to the statement of Conroy & Pincus, (2011) It can be observed that the organizational
culture of the organization includes different factors such as attitudes, values and shared beliefs
of the organization that influences upon the performance of an organization. The organizational
culture helps to maintain different types of internal rituals of the organization. The organizational
culture of Tesco is greatly influenced on the success performance of the organization. The
different stakeholders of the Tesco help to improve performance of the organization by

Tesco ensures a good working environment for enhancing the performance of the employees that
would be helpful for developing sustainable growth of the organization. The performance of the
employees in the workplaces of any organization mainly depends upon the working environment
(Glanz, 2002).
Job security
Job security in any organization has been considered as an important factor for enhancing the
performance of the organization. Employee satisfaction can be enhanced through the help of high
job security to the employees. Tesco ensures job security for the employees that help to enhance
the growth of the organization.
Benefits
Different types of benefits for the workers play a significant role for improving the performance
of the organization. Tesco ensures different types of payment benefits and other facilities for its
employees which help to enhance the productivity of the organization. Tesco also ensures bonus
and incentives for the employees for achieving the target which are greatly influenced on the
performance of the organization.
Relationship with other workers
Relationship with the co-workers in the workplaces of the organization plays a significant role
for enhancing the performance of the organization. The management authority of Tesco plays a
significant role for ensuring a friendly work environment which helps to improve the
performance of the organization that can be beneficial for sustainable growth of the organization

such a laissez faire leadership style, autocratic leadership style, participative leadership style,
transactional leadership style and the transformational leadership style. Different types of
organization maintain different types of leadership style for carrying out the organizational
activities in an effective way. In accordance with the given case scenario it can be observed that
the citizen UK bank want to extend it’s opening hours for ensuring better customer service. It
can be also observed from the given case scenario that the leadership style should be passionate,
enthusiastic and energetic for supporting the people in the workplaces of the organization. From
the given case scenario of citizen bank, UK it can be recommended that participative leadership
style would be more suitable for this type of organizational structure. In participative leadership
style the leaders as well as the employees are responsible for taking several decisions. In this

restaurants also wants to increase its opening hour for expanding the market share. With the
given case scenario it can be observed that transformational leadership style would be more
suitable for this kind of organization as the leaders of the organization continuously
communicates with the followers for supporting them that would be beneficial for expanding the
