• On the 10th of September the lucky senior syndicate of Tomarata School went to a one in a life time performance of the New Zealand Symphony orchestra.

• First we went to the Auckland Library and Mesha gave us a talk on how to view the library. We set off in our groups to find things around the four storey library.

The Auckland art gallery has some fabulous pieces of art. My favourite piece of art was “Joker”.

The park is on the Symonds Street. It was built up and by a thick layer of ash that erupted 60,000 years ago from a volcano close to Victoria Street East.

• At 1 o’clock we walked to the Orchestra. The conductor Alexandra Shelley introduced the Orchestra instrument families. The silence and then the music hit our ears. It was wonderful.

Did you know that symphonies are stories and orchestras just play music.
