ORGANISATIONALCONTEXTTheNSWInstituteofSport[NSWIS]supportsAustralianathletestobecomeworld’sbest.Weareanationallyfocusedhighperformancecentre,OlympicandParalympictrainingfacilitybasedatSydneyOlympicPark,reachingallregionsofNSW.Inpartnershipwiththenationalhighperformancesportsystemandnationalandstatesportingbodiesweenable,impactandsupporttargetedathletes,coachesandperformancesupportstafftoprepareforinternationalcompetition.Performanceisatthecentreofallthatwedoandourpeopleareourgreatestperformanceadvantage.ROLEPURPOSETheSeniorCoordinator–Sportisprimarilyresponsibleforsuccessfuldevelopment,implementationandmaintenanceofprocessesandcapabilityforsportperformanceplanningandcoordinationthateffectivelyalignscoaches,HPstaff,sportpartners,includingSSO’sandNSO’s,toagreednationalsystem,NSWISsportandathleteperformanceoutcomes.Inaddition,theSeniorCoordinator–Sportwillberesponsibleforprovidingsportspecificcoordination/administrationservicestosports/projectsasapartofahighperformancesportteam.Aninherentfunctionofallsenior,coordinationandmanagementrolesinthehighperformancedivisionincludesleadershipaccountability.Allrolesatthislevelhavestaffsupervisionresponsibilitiesand,whereavailableandagreed,mayhaveadditionalleadershipfunctionsassociatedwith:1.
