Library Hours PERSONAL ENRICHMENT COSAP The Campus Office of Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP) is hosting an event called Lobo Ladies’ Night: A night of fun, food, and relaxation on Thursday, November 13th from 6:00pm- 8:00pm as an extension of the DOLLs (Diary of a Lady Lobo) program. This event is com- pletely free to students and will include free services including massages, hair stylists, and a yoga session as well as free food, games from other UNM departments, and a fun do-it-your- self project! National studies have shown that the rate of binge drinking in women is on the rise, so the purpose of this event is to provide relaxing alternatives to drinking. School can be stressful, so we’re putting on this event to give students a chance to relax, combat stress, and have some fun! There will be plenty of activities and a crazy amount of door prizes, so we hope to see everyone there! Each home game, one student will be selected to participate as an honorary coach. Students will be selected based on their academic success, campus leadership, lobo spirit and involvement with the UNM community. Critical to this important transition are student leaders like Resident Advisors and New Student Orientation leaders. If you are interested in learning more about student leadership and development, then UNIV 391 is the course for you! UNIV 391: Student Development and Leadership Theory is an eight week course that will be offered at the beginning of the Spring 2015 semester. Course topics include student develop- ment theory, leadership development, communication skills and problem solving. This class is strongly recommended for students interested in applying for New Student Orientation Leader and Resident Advisor positions. Students interested in learning about leadership and development while engaging with fellow student leaders are welcome to enroll. EXPLORATION National Student Exchange The National Student Exchange (NSE) provides opportunities for you, as an undergraduate, to study for up to one calendar year at another NSE member college or university. With more than 160 colleges and universities from which to choose, you should be able to find a campus to meet your personal and academic needs and interests. We’ll be at the UNM South Parking Lot on the southwest corner of Avenida Cesar Chavez and Buena Vista. We look for- ward to seeing you there! ENGAGEMENT MyUniversity The Dean of Students office is currently developing a UNM mobile application called “MyUniversity.” If you have an interest in gaming, badges, mobile applications, or design, join the MyUniversity Gaming Committee.
