Campus Crusade for Christ WVU Campus Update November 2009 Corey and Christina Friend are WVU CRU alumni who graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and now they are back at WVU raising support to be full‐time staff. They are currently at 90% and prayerfully they will report soon. Recently Corey got hit in the eye with a chisel, which nearly blinded him. He had 10 stitches in his eyelid, a fractured skull and lots of swelling. After 2 weeks doctors put a titanium plate in his head behind his eye. This is distressing, but at the same time very miraculous that he is alive and continues to have sight in his eye. These are things to consider: The chisel hit him on the blunt side instead of the sharp end. The bruises and fractured skull came from force that hit above and below his eye socket yet the chisel was small enough to fit in his eye. A direct hit would have certainly taken his eye. They also have a 3‐year‐old and two month old baby, which means lots of responsibility and medical bills. Your prayers are greatly appreciated. 200 students attending our weekly meeting 100 students are involved in Bible Studies 50 plus students involved in discipleship Staff Prayer Request Josh Wood WVU senior Answered Prayers Usually the campus newsletter has personal stories about how our ministry is impacting students for Christ. I am glad we have those stories and rejoice in what God is doing at WVU. However, one of the reasons we have a fruitful ministry is because of other students who are faithful to our Savior. One of these students who have been an answer to prayer is Josh Wood . Josh came to WVU with a Christian background, although he didn’t start walking with God until Fall Retreat his freshman year. Since then he has helped lead freshman Bible Studies and gone on two stateside summer projects and one international missions trip to Venezuela. I’ve had the privilege of meeting with him for weekly discipleship, which has helped me and hopefully challenged him. This summer Josh helped lead a summer project as a staff/intern. I praise God for students like Josh. Please continue to pray for Josh as he graduates from WVU this December and seeks to go into full-time ministry .

Answered Prayers

Usually the campus newsletter has personal stories about how our ministry is impacting students for Christ. I am glad we have those stories and rejoice in what God is doing at WVU. Since then he has helped lead freshman Bible Studies and gone on two stateside summer projects and one international missions trip to Venezuela.
