Peggy Hahn serves as the Executive Director for LEAD, aligning passionate leaders, resources, and practices to grow Christian leaders who grow faith communities in our world. Peggy is committed to listening to pastors and leaders of all ages for insight into the ways they are growing in their own faith and what LEAD can do to support them in their development as leaders.

Rev. Michael Rinehart has served as bishop of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America since 2007. “Evangelism is one of my passions, and our synod’s highest priority. Evangelism is making fully devoted followers of Christ, who taught love of God and neighbor as the greatest commandments. Every congregation is a mission, and every pastor is a missionary.”

We were born for this. This is our watch. Like it or not, we are called to lead the Christian movement forward in our own way—even if we are struggling to find the path ourselves. In this rapidly changing context, we can’t focus on everything, so we are compelled to set priorities. You will discover four primary behaviors that shift our mindset as leaders and prepare our faith communities for leadership in a changing world. As we research the differences between growing and stalled congregations, these four behaviors stand out as clear indicators for growth. We are struck by how these four behaviors exist in thriving Christian communities around the world. We have personally witnessed these growth indicators at work in communities of all sizes and geographies in the United States, El Salvador, Peru, and the Central African Republic. We can do this!

We are part of a long line of faithful servants. We find their stories in the Bible and turn to them for support: Abram and Sarai, Moses, Elizabeth and Mary, you get the drift. It may feel audacious to compare ourselves to these saints; yet we are convinced that on their own watch, they had their own doubts and fears.

This is your time to be recharged for leadership. Leadership makes all the difference - don’t miss this opportunity to get recharged to join in God’s mission.
