2. GENERAL CONCEPT OF TENDER

The intention of ELM is to request the supply and delivery of safety uniform for electrical personnel

3. SPECIFICATIONS OF TENDER

Submission for the supply and delivery of safety uniform for electrical personnel:

1. All Royal blue and Navy blue jeans must be 100% cotton1. (Ladies jeans must be straight stretched and high cut) 1. All trousers must have side swing pockets and back pocket with double stitch.1. All Safety boots/shoes must be dual or double density polyurethane boots/shoes; they must have oil, acid and fuel resistant sole, they must also have excellent slip resistance and static discharge capabilities.1. All jackets must be DENIM .1. All shirts must be denim with long sleeve.1. Embroidery of the municipality logo should be done on all garments.

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONSSafety clothing supplied if found to be defective or of incorrect size, the supplier will be expected to exchange and replace the garment at no extra cost.

4. PRICING BID

1. Bids must be submitted in South African Rand, on a fixed price basis, including VAT.2. The Council is not bound to accept any of the bids submitted and reserve the right to call for Final Offers from short-listed bidders before final selection.3. Bidder must provide a detailed pricing schedule indicating unit prices.4. The Council reserves the right to negotiate price with preferred bidder.5. Bidders must note that equity points will not be allocated if not claimed or properly claimed in the MBD6.1

6. PRICING OF TENDERS

The Unit Prices inserted in bill of quantity of the Tender Form shall be an all-

inclusive cost and must include and allow for all activities, equipment, transport,

and any other item required to comply with this contract in all respects.

All tendered prices quoted by the contractor must be in South African (Currency Rand).

7. PAYMENT

7.1. Tenderers shall note that payment shall be made in terms of ELM: General Conditions of

Contract (Goods/Services).

8. CONDITIONS OF TENDER

8.1 Validity of tender

The Employer will decide whether a tender is acceptable and his decision in this regard is final. No communication, in writing and electronically, will be conducted in this regard.

FACSIMILE AND E-MAIL TENDERS will not be considered.

8.2. Alterations to tender documents

This tender is to be left intact in its original format and no pages are to be removed and or rearranged. Should there be inadequate or no space for the Tenderer to enter a particular item, then such information shall be submitted in a covering letter and referred to in Annexure B.

Failure to comply with this clause shall result in rejection of the tender.

8.3. Qualifications of tenders

Tenders should be submitted on the unaltered official forms and should not be indiscriminately qualified by the Tenderers own conditions of the tender. Failure to comply with these requirements, or to renounce the conditions of the tender, may invalidate or prejudice the Tender.

Failure to comply with this clause shall result in rejection of the tender.

8.4. Interpretation of the tender documents

If the Tenderer has any doubt or uncertainty as to the meaning and interpretation of any part of this document or accompanying drawings, then such doubt or uncertainty shall be addressed at the compulsory site meeting on the 10th August 2016
