Selling at Exhibitions
Know you clients
Are you trying to sell a product? There are many ways tried and test to sell something.
I am a sales executive for a company selling camping equipment, we are a very successful business
starting over 20 years ago as a one man band selling sleeping bags. This company quickly realised
the potential in this industry, and branch out into all aspects of the hobby.
We sell caravans, motor homes, trailers, tents, stoves, toilets and any other camping accessory you
could think of. At the moment we are bringing out a number of new product that we need to
market and sell.
The kind of advertising we find most successful for our industry is through magazines and
newspapers, on our website, but the other very successful method is going and attending exhibitions
for trade as well as for the public.
Once you catch the camping bug you are hooked, we have built up over time a very loyal client base
that come back time after time to us.
Good Exhibition Stand
Now back to the exhibitions, we try to attend at least 20 per year, we will attend them all over the
UK and also internationally. When planning a to attend an exhibition you must be on the ball know
your venue and try and get a really good position and get notice above the rest. Find and build up a
relationship with a really good exhibition stands company they can help you to really get noticed
with designing and producing a first class stand.
Remember it also needs to travel well to all the different exhibitions that you are to attend and also
to reduce in size or expand depending on the exhibition size.
This principal applies to any business type, so go ahead and make great sales.
