2015 – 2016 Day & Zimmermann, Surry Nuclear Plant

Shop labor painting for other crafts, paint mixing, mobing and de-mobing of work areas and prepping of surfaces. Surface prep using needle guns, flap wheel sanders, air sanders, surface grinders, wire wheel grinders, scrapers and air chisels. Service Water/Circulation Water pipes are the main areas worked on. Worked in water boxes, Amertap barrel and Amertap pit, discharge channel and pipes sizing from 96" down to 24". Also worked on plant equipment after maintenance was complete for plant beautification. Mixed and applied 'J' series paint, Arc 855 series, Arc 858 series, Arc 5 series, Belzonia coatings in pipes and in the paint shop. Removed sea life, mud and foreign material from water boxes and pipes and pressure washed and cleaned pipes for coating prep. Completed NSS Supplemental Leadership Training, as well as, Safety Conscious Work Environment Training for Leaders.

Mowing, trimming trees, brush hogging, painting, demolition of a room to the

studs, insulating, and any miscellaneous task.

2010 – 2012 The Butler (restaurant)

I worked during the summers of my sophomore and junior years. I was mainly in

the kitchen which I didn’t mind; I would prefer to be in the front greeting people or

being a waiter.

Dish washer, food prep, helped with sautéing, ovens, fryers and salads, and

closing.
