A concept. No compromises.Consistent development in all fields and constant growth over 15 years. The year 2007 was the right time to take a large step into the future. New company offices, all departments under one roof, more room for new challenges.

The development and production of tailormade assembly, testing and

welding machines for the communications and electrical industry:

That was the goal set in 1993 by the four specialists from four different

fields – economics, technology, software and electrical engineering –

when they founded itec GmbH. Today the company, itec Automation &

Laser AG, is a well respected company both nationally and internation-

ally and has the best resources to meet the manifold challenges in the

field of automation with integrated laser technology.

The integration of the first laser in an automation project in 1995 was

a milestone in the history of the company. Its influence can still be felt

today – since then, lasers have been used in almost all mechanical engi-

neering projects. In 1998 itec launched its first standard laser unit on

a granite base with precision shafts driven by a linear induction motor:

the vmax G. This was followed by other highly specialised machinery,

demand grew – and the need for new premises. In 2007 all depart-

ments were united under one roof in the new premises in Berlin-Rudow,

fully equipped to meet the very latest requirements.

From here itec can offer its extensive expertise – from the design stage to

a fully operational laser system. Using proven state-of-the-art technology

combined with the know-how of our highly qualified staff, gained from

years of experience. For certified quality according to DIN ISO 9001:2000,

used by reputable customers in the most diverse fields.

Your project.

Always in the forefront.

Think. Create. Implement.Qualified and committed staff. This is what enables itec to maintain its own high qualitystandards. Thinking for the customer, plus the dynamics of innovation and the technicalexpertise of itec's designers, software technicians, mechanical and electrical engineersare the basis for our lasting success.

4

Marketing. Quality management. Purchasing. Three departments, a common expertise.

Training at itec. Practical training to a successful end.

Project planning.Individual planning for each order.

Think. Create. Implement. That is the motto which every itec employee

follows as their contribution to the overall success of the company.

Think. This describes the ability of itec employees to see things from

the point of view of the customer – for highly customised solutions

ready for production, offering both technical and economic integrity.

Create. The task of itec team leaders is to focus the innovation ability

and technical expertise of all specialists involved in a project on their

common goal. For efficient multidisciplinary collaboration, in constant

communication with the customer.

Implement. Step three of the itec motto comprises implementation

of a project and the provision of comprehensive add-on services –

in time, in budget.

The individual requirements of customers demand the complete

creative ability and flexibility of itec's employees. Combine forces,

speed up processes, think through new concepts – all part of team-

work. Think, create, implement are also the criteria we apply when

training committed young employees in the latest technological

developments. Training them to become qualified employees who

can match the high standards of the company in the next generation.

5

Design. Software technology. Mechanical engineering. Electrical engineering.Cross-departmental project teams implement customers' specific requirements in optimised systems.

Team spirit.

Focussed on a common goal.

The vmax G series. With large mounting dimensions and open design - ideal formachining large-scale workpieces or sub-assemblies, also as throughput production.

The vmax S series.Laser welding and cutting for individual pieces and small components – flexible, quick, high precision.

Top performance. Day in, day out.itec also uses its extensive expertise in the construction of special equipment with integrated lasers for serial production – for the vmax laser systems offering optimum efficiency for laser cutting and welding.

The vmax C series.Laser processing for sheet metals and medium sized sub-assemblies.

Whether for machining small parts or sub-assemblies, from sheeting

directly from a coil, sheet metal board or pipes: The basic models of all

vmax machines are configured for a specific application and equipped

with high performance lasers from 50 W to 5 kW. Granite base, high

performance control components and precision shafts driven by linear

induction motors qualify vmax laser systems for all applications where

the highest accuracy and dynamics are required.

As well as the standard versions, itec laser systems can be fitted with

additional components according to production needs: part specific

clamps, CO2, ND:YAG or disk lasers, robots for rapid, safe handling of

parts and customised transport systems. Furthermore quality assurance

systems such as welded seam control during running operation ensure

optimum performance tested for serial production.

No matter how different products and production structures may be –

the result is always the same: a system designed to fulfil requirements

perfectly, manufactured with high quality materials and components.

From the initial feasibility study to the design phase through to instal-

lation, itec is always in close communication with its customers.

Operator training and a comprehensive after sales service ensure long-

term successful production – right from the start.
