If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Right now there’s nothing I want to change. I made a change in my job three months ago. In life, you constantly make changes. For example, if you’re unhappy in your job, stop complaining and find a new one. Only you can help yourself ! 3. If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? Nobody can choose their family. You have them from the day you are born. You can change jobs, partners, friends but NOT family. There will always be different kinds of individu- als in your family and you can either avoid them or literally live with them. 4. School? Alethea International School. 5. What brings you immense sat- isfaction? If I could help somebody, in some way, and make a difference in their life. 6. What is your idea of perfect happiness? A nice lazy day full of rain! 7. Are you religious? Moderately. 8. Are you superstitious? I am, in certain situations. For instance, I hate number 13. I even change the volume in my car stereo if it is on 13! 9. Your ideal girl? An old World War 2 bullet shell I found when I was 10 years old, on the Micronesian Island of Yap. 12. If you were marooned on a desert island, who would you like as your companion? Someone who could build a boat! 13. Your most embarrassing moment? I was on air, back in 1999, and during a competition I addressed a lady as “SIR”! She had a very deep voice! There was a few seconds of silence and she said “actually I’m Mrs. So and so”…LOL. I’m still embarrassed about that. 14. Done anything daring? Many! 15. Your ideal vacation? A quiet week in Nuwara-Eliya, with my phone switched off ! I might be able to do it, only after I quit radio. 16. What kind of music are you into? Well, I listen to all kinds of music because its part of my job. Personally, I love the 90s. Especially 90s hip hop. 17. Favourite radio station? Everlasting Radio 18. Favourtie TV station? I hardly watch TV. I’m stuck to my radio most of the time. I do watch a movie or two whenever possible. 19. What would you like to be born as in your next life? Someone powerful enough to stop Whaling in places like Japan and Norway, apparently for “scientific” rea- sons, and protect the Sri Lankan wild elephant before it goes into extinction! 20. Any major future plans? Quite a few. For the moment I want to keep them quiet. T he Holy Family Congre-gation recently cele- brated 150 years in Sri Lanka.
