Dear Parents,

Hari Om! As we stand on the eve of a brilliant and successful year gone by for Pre-primary,

I am immensely proud of all our achievements. It has been a glorious academic year in

2013-14 and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this year

a success.

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to all our new students as they join the New

Horizon family. We promise to ensure that all our students will get the best of a holistic

education that we at New Horizon Vidya Mandir strive to impart to all our children. In any

educational system, it is important to put the child first, and as such, we provide the idealenvironment where children can feel secure, loved and encouraged. This in turn makes the

child achieve their highest potential and be well prepared for the next step in their

education.

I would like to extend my congratulations to all our young students for having successfully

completed a fun filled and rewarding academic year. A special thanks to all the parents who

have worked with us hand in hand in making this year a success. Your continued support

and cooperation has helped all of us here at New Horizon Vidya Mandir achieve our

milestones in the year gone by. We look forward to continuing this working relationship in

the coming year as well.

I also thank the management team for their support and guidance in all our ventures. Theirconstant help and leadership has always steered us towards success.

Last but not the least, my gratitude goes out to the brilliant team of teachers that we have

here at New Horizon Vidya Mandir. They have played a crucial and invaluable role in

making 2013-14 a grand success. They are the key to all the accomplishments of our

students and the Pre primary section.

Given below are the activities that were conducted in the academic year 2013-14:

INTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Participation in Expressions conducted by HAL Public school where our students

participated in the Fancy dress and collage competitions. Participation in Goloka Shades conducted by Iskon where the school toppers award

was won.

Participation in the MaRRS Pre-School Bee where students successfully completed

the first level of the competition.

Participation in SURGE - a dance fest.

INTER CLASS ACTIVITIES

Inter class competitions were held in different categories like Talent hunt, Fancy

Dress, Colouring, Art And Craft, Recitation (English, Hindi and Kannada) ,Shloka

Chanting, Storytelling (English, Hindi and kannada) Dance, Singing and Handwriting.

Students participated in the Independence Day celebration.

Founders day, Annual Day and Sports Day were conducted on a grand scale.

Students were taken for field trips to the Post Office, Fire Station and places of

worship.

Other festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Sankranti, Krishna Jayanthi, RakshaBandhan, Childrens Day, Christmas, Market Day, Fruit Mela and Colour Day werecelebrated.

WORKSHOPS ATTENDED BY TEACHERS

Constructive workshops were arranged for our team of teachers like:

Professional ethics and the power of a pre primary teacher.

Positive discipline and how to enliven the class with energizers by The

Teachers Foundation Organisation.

On cooperative learning and the importance of motivation, circle time, and

creative learning by Sambhav Foundation.

Note: Parents are requested to clear all dues for session fees and transport

fees (2013-14) before collecting the report card.

TUITION FEEFOR EXISTING STUDENTS:FEES: The school fee can be paid in TWO installments. First installment should be paid

between 01st April 2014 and 10th April 2014. Second installment will have to be paid

between 20thSept 2014 and 30thSept 2014. The school fee includes the cost of books and

stationery.

3rdStep: Fill the fee particulars (in Rs.) and click on CALCULATE TOTALFEE tab.

4thStep: Please take a printout of the transaction.

OPTION 2- AT SCHOOL CASH COUNTER

Fees can be paid at the school cash counter (A/c No. 986418415) by

Cash/DD/ Cheque (DD/cheque to be made in favour of NEW HORIZON

VIDYA MANDIRby filling up the prescribed Fee Slip).

Note:The cheque is to be deposited at the cash counter at least 3 working

days before the due date for collection of books. The name of the student,

admission number, class with section and the contact phone number of the

parent should be written legibly on the reverse of the cheque/DD. In case ofbounced/rejected cheque, there will be a penalty of Rs. 1000/- levied.

Please mention Admission No. /Computer code of the student on the challan.

Fees to be paid before collecting books & stationery. Kindly submit the

photocopy of the fee challan to the class teacher.

Fees can be paid from 25th March 2014 onwards at New Horizon Vidya

Mandir cash counter. Note:30th& 31stwill be Holiday

1st Installment Fees for the academic year 2014-15 is the Tuition Fees

installment and is inclusive of books and stationery.

TRANSPORTATION

School transport is available to all the students.

Application form for the same will be available in our website

and submit the application to the transport desk.

Transport feeswill have to be paid in two installments. The first installment has tobe paid on or before 20thApril 2014 and the second installment of fees may be paid

between 20thSept and 30thSept 2014.

DAY CARE FACILITYDay care facility will be provided for the students of New Horizon Vidya Mandir on request.

The details are as mentioned below.

o Timings: 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Parents may choose any one time slot.

During the time at day care, the students will be involved in games, reading, art

work and indoor/outdoor activities.

Children will have a Nap Time to help revitalize them.

Students may also avail of special coaching classes for Karate, Dance (free style and

Bharatnatyam), Music vocal/instrument (casio only) and Abacus conducted by

experts for additional fees.

Students will be provided nutritious lunch at lunch time, Milk and snacks will be

provided at 4:30 pm and 6:00 pm. The menu for the month will be updated on the

Day Care Notice Board.

Day care will function from Monday to Friday except on government holidays.

Day care will remain open on all long vacations.

List of holidays may be collected from the respective day care teacher on the

re-opening day.

Students from Nursery classes may avail the day care facility until he/she getsadjusted to the school environment.(only from the second week onwards)
