Second Version
In the era of explosion in information technology and development in market economy,
people don’t have much free time; therefore, they seem to favor the convenience of canned
food. Understandably, consumers now prefer canned fruit to fresh, but sometimes unsafe fruit.
Nevertheless, some people don’t know there are many distinctive steps in the complicated
process of canning fruit before the cans come to their hands.
At the preliminary stage, as can be seen from the diagram, it includes some following
steps: fruit picking, transporting, washing, quality checking and cold storing. To begin with,
fruits are hand-picked from trees and collected in baskets on farms or plantations. They are
then taken on large trucks to local factories where they are first washed carefully for foodhygiene standards. Following this step, the quality of fruits is checked to make sure that only
good-quality can continue in the process. At the end of the stage, fruits are stored at zero
degrees celsius freshly.
In the second or canning stage, several steps are carried out. Continuously, the fruits of
the preliminary stage are weighed, then peeled and sliced into small pieces. Subsequently, at
the most important step, the fruit slices are canned. This is done by canning machines. The
slices are equally divided and put into the cans which are sealed for protection afterwards.
Later, to save the canned fruits from the penetration of harmful bacteria and so, to save
buyers’ health, the cans are sterilized with a special heating process. Having been labelled
