    Accurate Electronic Inclinometer

with an Integrated SignalAmplifier for a 2-Wire Analog

    420mA Output in Ranges

    of 10, 30 and 80

    Description

The NGi Series of inclinometers - NG2i (10), NG3i(30), and NG4i (80) - are liquid capacitive gravitybased sensors with integrated sensor and excitationelectronics. The thermal drift of the primary sensor isfurther compensated by an electronic equalization of thetemperature.

An integrated highly stable voltage regulator makes itpossible to supply the inclinometer from any unregulatedsupply or battery as low as +8V and up to +30VDC. Themeasuring principle assures a linear angle output with420mAs calibrated to equal the measuring range of thesensor. The measuring time constant can be ordered withlonger rise times as an option. The power is obtainedfrom the measurement current loop, thereby eliminatingthe need for a separate power supply and enablingoperation with a two wire connection.

    Applications

The NGi Series with its current loop output is well suitedfor industrial use where high accuracy and long-termstability are required in a noisy environment where hightemperature changes occur and non-stable supply voltagesare present.

For additional functionality the SB1i and SB2iInclinometer Sensor Packages have both zero and gain

adjustments. For dual axis applications refer to the SB2i.The SB2i is also available with CSA Certification forIntrinsic Safety.

Typically used in building and bridge construction, mining, radar alignment systems, pitch and roll,agricultural/construction equipment, and processmachinery.
