MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT…
We hope everyone enjoyed the “Under the Sea” disco last Friday. A huge thank you to Libbie and Justin Prisuda and their team at AV 24/7 for generously providing yet another awesome disco. Thank you also to Vicki Kaniouris and the fundraising team, Nicole Devet and Louise Cuthbert. Great work also from Janette Allardyce-Walker and the canteen volunteers and all the other disco volunteers who helped make it a fabulous night. A special mention also to Graham Helliwell who was our photographer for the night. We also had Mrs Harris and Mrs Anastasiou come along which was great, and of course the head of the conga line, Mrs Williams! As previously mentioned, a new closed Facebook group for LPS parents and carers has been created. This will help you not miss any posts as you will be notified when a new post is made and assist with matters only relevant to LPS families remaining within a closed group. For those of Facebook, please search “Lugarno Public School P & C” and request to join. Please note that this term sees the end of Flexischools as we move to Qkr! for our online ordering system for canteen and uniform shop next term. Please see flyer attached for more information. A big thank you to Mrs Bartley for giving up her time to attend our last P & C meeting to update us on the Language Literacy Cycle and Reciprocal Numeracy. The ordering of the prizes for the Colour Explosion Run has unfortunately been delayed as we are awaiting finalisation of a few prize choices. Prizes will now be handed out in class at the beginning of next term. I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and I look forward to another exciting term ahead. Regards, Melissa Porter

MEET THE TEAM
We continue t0 get to know the lovely LPS staff a bit better….
Name: Miss Hannah Smith Role at LPS: Student Wellbeing Support Officer (SWSO) Children: 3 Fur Babies (Rabbits: Abe, Poppy & Monty). Some facts about me: Life can be busy so we all need a happy place, I have a few: anytime with a coffee in my hand, going to the movies, hanging out with friends and family, as well as being out in nature. I've had the privilege to live in three countries; Australia, England & New Zealand. I have learnt so much from the people, the lifestyle, the culture and the language (we are speaking English but at times we mean very different things haha!). Lesser known fact about me: When I was 18 years old I did a solo skydive at 10,000 feet, it was crazy but so much fun! Another fact is, I will watch ANYTHING on the Royal Family! I love how the history of the Royal Family is so long and it's filled with stories of scandal, intrigue & tradition. My fanaticism hasn't quite reached the memorabilia stage but if there's something on TV about the Royal Family, I'll be watching it!! What I love about LPS: There are so many things I love about LPS but the stand out for me is the AMAZING staff. Mrs Williams and all staff members have really embraced me and my role from day one, whether it be letting me pop into their classroom at any time or moving things around so I can run a small group. I believe the atmosphere of a school is set by the Principal and the staff which is why LPS is such a great place to work.

your life easier.
The Qkr app is a secure payment gateway and aims
to save time, especially if you have more than one
child attending school.
Qkr is a free app that lets parents and carers use
their smartphone to place canteen orders, or make
uniform and fundraising event payments.
Please refer to the attached Qkr – How To Guide
and visit our P&C Website for more information
