College Feast Day As last year we are adopting Pentecost, the birth of the Church, as the opportunity in which to celebrate the foundation of All Hallows Catholic College. On Monday May 20 (the day after Pentecost Sunday),Years 7 and 8 will be escorted by their teachers down to St. Albans Church, Macclesfield, for the celebration of a special All Hallows Feast Day Mass at 10.00 am. Later in the day, Mass will be celebrated in the College Hall for years 9 & 10. Students going to St Albans, will be back to the College in time for an extended mid-morning break. Following the downpour two years ago, we strongly recommend that all students bring with them some form of coat, rainwear or umbrella for the walk to and from the church. Year 10 Update – Attendance focus

Over the past half two terms, students in Year 10 are to breaking from the

norm in relation to attendance at All Hallows. In some schools, research

other to be in college everyday. In fact one student in Year 10 has not

During the last week college attendance was as follows:

Year 7 - 96.7% DOWN BY 1.2% on the previous week

Year 8 - 95.7% UP BY 1.9%

Year 9 - 94.7% DOWN BY 0.1%

Year 10 - 96.7% UP BY 0.5%

Year 11 - 93.9% DOWN BY 0.9%

Overall weekly attendance has stayed at 95.5%. The total since September has increased to 94.3%. WE AIM FOR 97%

Please can parents keep discussing attendance with their children? Please contact the college on the first day of absence and keep us updated daily. Try to avoid whole day absence unless it is absolutely necessary and remember the college day starts at 8.55 a.m with students with persistent poor punctuality risking being sanctioned. Requests for holiday absence should be directed towards Mrs Garvey (Key Stage 5) and Mr Blades (Key Stage 3 and 4) via letter or email in advance.
