This is the number of parents who have very kindly completed the Parent View questionnaire so far. The previous data was erased when we became an academy and we would be very grateful if as many parents as possible could fill in this on-line form, so we can use the information in our college self evaluation and action planning. www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/. This is a key document for Ofted and we really need your help. Its fantastic news we have reached our target of 100. We are now aiming for 200 before the next half term.
Prayer Pentecost Prayer Lord Jesus, we thank you for the gift of Pentecost and for new life in the Holy Spirit. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and set ours hearts ablaze with the fire of your love, that we may serve you in joy and freedom, through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Parents as Partners: STUDENT PLANNERS
Parents are requested to check student planners regularly and sign them weekly. Student planners are used to record homework but also as a means of communicating between college and home. We would ask par-ents to support us in checking that homework is being recorded and checking for any messages from College staff.
Year 11 News
Exam season is upon us and it is essential that Year 11 students make thorough use of all revision resources available to them, including their teachers, exercise books, revision books, our college VLE (Realsmart) and the Internet. There is an exam timetable on the college website and individual exam timetables have been given to all students.

Year 10 Update – Attendance focus
Over the past half two terms, students in Year 10 are to breaking from the
norm in relation to attendance at All Hallows. In some schools, research
shows how attendance can tail off as students move higher up in a school
through Key Stages 3 and 4, but current Year 10 students are now
second on average out of the 5 years in key stage 3 and 4 with Year 7
(who are top) firmly in their sights.
This has been down to the students and Form Tutors working with each
other to be in college everyday. In fact one student in Year 10 has not
missed a day at college for 3 years. This improved attendance is leading
to better performance and engagement at College, making Year 10 an
enjoyable year to be part of.
Special mention should go to 10 Newman who have won the Form award
at the previous three celebration assemblies. This award is based on
attendance, punctuality, Merit + and behaviour. Apparently the chocolates
have gone down a treat.
College Feast Day
As last year we are adopting Pentecost, the birth of the Church, as the opportunity in which to celebrate the foundation of All Hallows Catholic College. On Monday May 20 (the day after Pentecost Sunday),Years 7 and 8 will be escorted by their teachers down to St. Albans Church, Macclesfield, for the celebration of a special All Hallows Feast Day Mass at 10.00 am. Later in the day, Mass will be celebrated in the College Hall for years 9 & 10. Students going to St Albans, will be back to the College in time for an extended mid-morning break. Following the downpour two years ago, we strongly recommend that all students bring with them some form of coat, rainwear or umbrella for the walk to and from the church.

Try to avoid whole day absence unless it is absolutely necessary and remember the college day starts at 8.55 a.m with students with persistent poor punctuality risking being sanctioned. Requests for holiday absence should be directed towards Mrs Garvey (Key Stage 5) and Mr Blades (Key Stage 3 and 4) via letter or email in advance.
