Principal’s Message This will be the last newsletter for the year so I would like to wish all families a safe and enjoyable break. This has been a fantastic year with so many students achieving wonderful results in a variety of areas. We have had success by individuals and groups. It was fantastic to witness all the students who received recognition at our
‘Assembly of Excellence’ (names included) last week. I would like to thank all the staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of our students. I would also like to thank our 2009 school leaders Therese May, John Bourke, Suzie Griffen Holten and Nathan Yerbury for their contribution to our school and the manner in which they have represented us. I would like to congratulate the 2010 school leaders, Joseph Bourke, Ahnita Holten-Duke, Denise Cannon and Alexia Mitchell on their election and I am sure they will do a fantastic job. Important Dates • Wednesday 16th December - Last day of
attendance for all students • Thursday 28th January - First day of school
for students Year 1 to year 6 • Monday 1st February - First day of school for
Kindergarten 2010 I would like to finish this newsletter by wishing all individuals a lovely break and look forward to seeing everyone refreshed on the dates above for the 2010 school year. Book Packs Book packs will be on sale from Day 1 next year (Wednesday 27th January). We will be selling these for $40 for the first pack and $35 for the second and all other packs. The packs have contents that in some cases are valued at approximately $50. We are able to offer this deal as we order in bulk. I am aware that some of the items may be purchased cheaper but the ‘quality’ is not the same as those
contained in the packs. We regret not having them available at the end of this year however we will definitely have them for the commencement of the 2010 school year. We will also offer assistance on top of the price reduction for those parents/families who have multiple students at school. Hugh Rutherford
