A Beatles tribute band that performs in period costumes and recreates all the sounds of a Beatles stage show during the height
of Beatlemania - brought to you in partnership with the SEAFORD LIONS CLUB - to be held in the parking lot at the
Seaford Library.
“Captain Jack” Saturday, July 29th A Billy Joel tribute band with some Elton John and other classic rock mixed in – presented in cooperation with the
SEAFORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE – to be held in the parking lot at the Seaford Library.
“Jetstream” Saturday, August 12th A 6 piece high energy multi-talented band playing music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and today - brought to you in partnership
with the SEAFORD WELLNESS COUNCIL – to be held at the Seaford Train Station grass area.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is a live-action re-telling of the studio's animated classic. It describes the fantastic journey of
Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she
befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul
of the true Prince within. Rated PG. 129 minutes. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke

BOT BUILDING

Robotics play an integral role in engineering our futures. From factories to outer space, robots contribute to our
society every day, performing jobs people may not be capable of doing. But who builds and creates these
intelligent machines? Using Lego NXT Robotics Kits, student teams will be introduced to robotics in an exciting
hands on format, learning the engineering design process and exploring what it is like to be an engineer!

LIP SYNC BATTLE

Teens will break into teams and compete to be the best lip sync and dance champions. Prizes will be awarded for

SPIRIT OF NEW YORK CRUISE, THE HIGH LINE AND CHELSEA MARKET
Thursday, August 10th Bus leaves at 9am Cost: $93 per person (includes all gratuities)
Children of all ages are invited to explore the world at the Seaford Public Library this summer,
where a variety of programs will help children maintain and improve their reading skills and at the
same time have fun participating in all activities we have planned for them.
“BUILD A BETTER WORLD” includes a summer reading program, storyhours, crafts, movies,
magic shows, puppet shows, science programs and many other special events sure to please
children and their families.
On Monday, June 26th, the children are invited to meet Superman, Princess Belle &
Spiderman, have their faces painted, get temporary tattoos and sign up for the “2017 BUILD A BETTER
WORLD” reading program.
Our summer promises to be an exciting one with storyhours on Tuesdays at 11:00am, 2:00pm
or 7:00pm; films on Thursday, July 6th “Moana” and Thursday, August 3rd “Storks”, PlayHooray, Science
Programs, a visit from the Green Meadows Farm, Nick the Balloonatic, Singing School Bus Driver and
our popular Ice Cream Program.
A complete calendar of events will be available in the Children’s Room beginning Thursday,

ART EXHIBIT: Susan Henke - Paintings
Join us for a two-hour afternoon cruise on the recently renovated Spirit of New York. We will enjoy incredible views of the
Manhattan skyline while sampling a variety of lunch dishes from our own buffet table. Narration during the cruise provides
interesting facts about the sights we will see along the way, such as The Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge,
Battery Park, South Street Seaport and others. The panoramic views are fabulous, perfect photo opportunities. After the cruise,
enjoy a leisurely stroll on the High Line, shop at Chelsea Market or visit the Whitney Museum. Your
trip includes luxury bus transportation, a full buffet lunch and a cruise in the New York Harbor. Space is limited. First come, first
