Dear Client, Well that went fast! Since we separated from our old parent company in London - Rush Couriers - and started trading as a stand-alone business in December 2018, the past year has gone by so quickly. We cannot thank you all enough for your loyalty and continued custom through this year and it's been a true pleasure working with you all and supplying you with our quality range of services. We have seen a couple of staff members move on and a few changes on the driver fleet but in the main we are as we were this time last year. We might as well get the bad news out of the way first, however. Whilst we have strived to keep our own costs down, various elements have risen throughout the year - including but not limited to - rent & rates increases; wages & pensions costs; APC input cost increments and various other supplier price increases. APC Cambridge has not raised our prices for over 4 years but we now have to pass on a small increase to our prices. From January 1st 2020 we will be applying a 3% increase on all prices. We feel that this is a small and justifiable increase and have held off until January so as to not profiteer during the busier December months for most clients. We still believe that APC Cambridge offers huge value for money, combined with our fantastic customer service team and fleet of local drivers, all of whom work together to ensure that your products are delivered to your customers in the best way possible. Dear Client,

Well that went fast!

Calendars 2020

We will be sending out our free annual calendars in the next week or so. There are often spares left over so if you require more than one please email us using the normal [email protected] address to request more.

I.T. 2020

APC Overnight Ltd will be updating some of the software used in the Track and Trace part of the process in the next few months.

We will update you again once this is confirmed, but the main upgrade will be the ability (if you so choose) for your clients to be able to request their item to be left somewhere safe.

They will be able to do this online once they get the APC Expect 2 hour delivery window alert and they know they are going to miss the delivery.

This will be an opt in option that you will have to tell us want rather than a default change.

Page 3: NEWSLETTER - All Parcels Cambridge

continued,

This will cut out the requirement for the delivery driver to have to call us and then us call you for permission to leave that item where the client has requested they do so - meaning an even higher % of first time delivery success.

Drivers would still need to take a photo of the item being left as instructed and that picture would be available to you on line should a query emerge.

More details on this and other I.T. updates as soon as they startto come to fruition.

Accounts

Please can we remind all clients that there are a variety of methods for paying your invoices.

Direct Debit is now the most popular method that clients have chosen to use to pay us. On each invoice we email there is a link to GoCardLess, who are our Direct Debit partner. The link also appears on statements of account.

Once you click on that link, and populate the screen that appears, your account is then set for Direct Debit and payment will be taken 21 days from each invoice date until we hear otherwise from you. You are protected by the Direct Debit guarantee scheme and can stop the process at any time.

Meet the Team; Fun Facts!

We decided it's about time that we introduced ourselves! So let's meet the APC Cambridge Team.

From left to right... Keen cyclist Richard loves working the early morning shift and he’s also a 'Die Hard' fan. Boss-man Geoff

has risen through the ranks at APC to own the depot and keeps us entertained with plenty of stories from his 25 years in the industry. It should come as no surprise that his favourite Christmas film is 'The Great

Escape'. OCD and organization guru Sarah loves the teamwork at APC, fav Christmas film: The Holiday. John

is a much-loved legend at APC, coming up to his 24th year of service, his favourite Christmas viewing is

White Christmas. New recruit Krista is a marketing whizz and can quote 'Trading Places' word for word. She also makes the best cuppa in the land. Laura has become a master of both finding drivers wherever they

are and office banter over her first year. She re-watches the Santa Claus trilogy every Christmas. The cheeky

chappy of the team is Jack, always going the extra mile to support the drivers. Favourite Christmas film: Die

Hard.

Labels

As you know, we offer the A5 self-adhesive labels that can be printed in your standard desktop printer. The labels are your bar-coded track and trace labels- they are a really important cog in the delivery chain. A poorly affixed label (see page 7 below for examples) can mean that your items can be delayed in their journey - the sortation system is highly automated and it needs to be able to read the label easily. Please take a moment to read the label guide and ensure anyone who processes the labels is aware. If you need a resupply of labels just email us using [email protected]

a plastic wallet as reflections from the plastic means that the sort scanners will not read the barcode,

Make sure you apply the label in the box

provided on the mailpacks.

Ensure that the label is not placed outside the

dedicated box area and it is flat and clear to read,

creased barcodes will not be recognised by our
