.T~.,e NAP has recently reorganized to give greater emphasis "to spedific professional groups. The following sections are now repre- sented: Clinical, Vocational and Industrial psychology-, and a section for government-employed psychologists. More sections are being planned.

N ~ P is associated with the general Association of University Per- ~onnel. In conjunction with this group and on its own NAP has made considerable effort to improve the salaries paid to its members in official and private employment. A special fund to support members under possible strikes or other conflicts has been established.

In order to qualify its members for authorized specialization, NAP has organized courses especially in clinical psychololgy. Meetings have been arranged by the special sections for lectures and discussion of theoretical and practical problems.

NAP cooperates closely with the other Scandinavian psychological associations through a special committee with three representatives from each country. Together the associations publish the Scandinavian Journal,of Psychology and Nordisk Psykologi, the first in English and the second in Danish, Norwegian and Swedish. Vidkunn Coucheron Thrane and Emil ~stlyngen serve as Norwegian editors for the res- pective journals. In addition, NAP cooperates in the editing of Acta Psychologica, for which Vidkunn Coucheron Thrane serves as Nor- wegian consulting editor.

During some part of this work the student is supposed to collect data fol a thesis to be prepared before the ;final examinations.
