English has become a significant language of global communication and trade as well as diplomacy and politics. However, learners still meet difficulties in mastering English including pronunciation and vocabularies as well as grammar.

The most primary problem of learning English is a variety of vocabularies. Firstly, one word has diverse meanings used in different circumstances; therefore, it is hard for learners to remember them certainly. In addition, there are many forms of vocabularies such as verbs and nouns and adjectives and so on; as a result, it takes students much time to search the original and relative words for learning by heart. Furthermore, prefixes and suffixes also contribute to flexible meanings and uses of words. The reason is that each prefix or suffix implies its own senses. For example, non- and im- or un- have the same meaning no, but they are applied for compulsory words .Thus, learners must be careful in selecting the right suffices with the correct words. The last cause is phrasal verbs; these combinations would be confusing and illigical. Therefore, learners are impossible to understand the kind of words through the separate meaning of a verb and a preposition or to combine them by chance.

Another main obtacle is English pronunciation. Fristly, spelling is unpredictable and depends on the international alphabet??.Therefore, students usually have to use the dictionary to pronounce exactly the new words. Secondly, speaking fluently is very hard because voice of English is difficut to imitate .Morover, the same letter has different sounds; bread /bred/ and break /breik/ are an illustration. What is more, some verbs and nouns or adjectives are spoken differently although they are written the same. In addition, as for speaking, the linking of final consonant in the preceding words to the initial vowel of the word is performed to make listener puzzel?.

Besides, English learners have to face troubles in grammar. Its language sentence always follows a subject- verb- object structure, which requires learners to change right forms of words. On the other hand, twelve tenses used in specific situations also have a special effect on the style of writing English. Other own grammar of English are relative clause and passive voice as well as reversion struction ?to result in difficulties for students. Hence, in order to get good writing skills, they should enjoy literature reviews as much as possible.

In conclusion, mastering English well is not easy for learners due to the above difficulties. Therefore, students should practice regually to perfect their English.
