New Mexico Women's Ministries October 2011 District NewsTRANSCRIPT
Women’s Ministries has been extremely active
over the last several months! From our
Turquoise Trail Mission Trip to our annual
District Women’s Conference, there has been no
shortage of excitement, ministry opportunities
and incredible moves of God!
Many of the photos and articles contained in
this mailing are of Women’s Conference, which was held in
September at Tramway Community Church. Renay West
was our guest speaker and she had us laughing one moment
and then sharpening our spiritual warfare skills the next. The
Holy Spirit moved mightily and the altar time was a life-
changing place for many.
Along with Renay West our worship team from Dallas,
Finding Cadence, ministered with great sensitivity. Many of
our ladies said that Renay and Finding Cadence were the best
speaker/worship team they had ever experienced. Renay and
the worship team had not met prior to conference but the
Holy Spirit knit their focus and the end result was a flow that
could only come from One Father wanting to bless His many
daughters in an abundant and unifying way.
From our workshop leaders, to our registration and sales
workers, to the dear women from Deming who prepared and
served the Mission’s Luncheon (from scratch), District
Women’s Conference was the place to be to receive practical
and powerful teaching along with joy in the Sisterhood of
Women who love Jesus.
Next year’s conference will be held September 20-22, and
our speaker will be the wonderful Gail McWilliams. Mark
the dates on your calendar and experience love revealed.

June 1-4 found New Mexico women working at First Wash
and Four Corners churches in Shiprock!
Some team members spent long hours in the kitchen cooking
and preparing meals for team members, VBS attendees, and adults
from both churches and communities who stopped by to help or
visit.
Another team worked tirelessly at Four Corners Community
Church teaching, entertaining, and loving the children who came
to Vacation Bible School. Under the leadership of Debbie Hoff-
man from Carlsbad, the workers and children were challenged,
instructed, fed and able to hear and see the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Team members also walked and drove through the community
inviting families to VBS and to an evening community event held
later in the week.
At First Wash a team of women took on the task of painting the
interior of the sanctuary and staining the fence that surrounds the
Sunday school classrooms. In just a few days the interior of the
church was freshly painted and the fence was within a few brush
strokes of completion.
The hearts of the women who served on this trip were knit to
the churches and the people of Shiprock. The love of Christ and
the hand of fellowship were freely given by both churches and our
team looks forward to future trips within our state to serve
wherever and whenever God leads!
A quarterly report is just another opportunity to share your Women’s Ministries events and activities. Let us know what you’re doing and tell me about creative and exciting events. Each local group is encouraged to send tithe on all money received by offerings or earned through projects. These tithes are an essential part of the District-wide outreach of Women’s Ministries. Funds go to scholarships, resources for women, operating expenses and future events such as Women’s conference and missions trips. Less than 20% of our New Mexico District Women’s groups send a tithe to the District Office; that means that in spite of the faithfulness of the few, we are limited by the absence of the many.
Options for reporting:
Simply fill out a Quarterly Report form and mail it to the District Office.
Online Reporting is EASY! Go to www.nmaog.org and click District Ministries, then Women’s Minis-tries tab. At the bottom of the Women’s Ministries webpage you will click on “Quarterly Report Form.” There is also a tab with “Quarterly Report Instructions” should you need some help.

Mission Statement The mission of Women’s Ministries is to touch the lives of women and girls by the transforming power of Jesus Christ, discipling them to follow His example, and training them to minister to others. Purpose Statement The purpose of Women’s Ministries has eternal significance and is explained in a fivefold purpose statement, which in-cludes reaching women through the transforming power and love of Jesus Christ; discipling women to follow Christ’s example and live an overcom-ing life; building wholeness and balance, both spiritually and mentally, through consistent prayer and study of God’s Word; providing an atmosphere for women to develop their gifts, abilities, and lasting Christian relationships; and training women to find their place of ministry and effectively touch their world for Christ.

—MEET THE NEW DIRECTOR—
Our District has been without a District Girls Ministries Director since July 2010 when Sally Frazee resigned after serving almost 10 years. I have been actively praying, searching and asking questions in order to find the right leader to serve us. With great excitement, I am pleased to announce that our new DGMD is MARY HELEN MARTINEZ! In 1982, she was appointed Regional Missionettes Coordina-tor for the Pacific Latin American District. For 25 years she have worked with Missionettes/Girls Ministries as Sponsor and Coordinator for various clubs in local churches. Presently Mary Helen is the Girls Ministries Coordinator at Las Cruces First Assembly of God. Please give Mary Helen a few weeks to get herself assimi-lated for the task. She is so excited to start this new adven-ture! Contact Mary Helen via your choice of communication:
