Clever use of fieldbus technology:

Multi-sensor transmitters of the 2600T series

Choice of functions- Selectable characteristics:

- linear/square rooting,- freely programmable characteristic- e. g. for volume measurements in a spherical

container…- Min/max indicator- Event counter for when range, sensor limits

and temperature are exceeded- Simulation of any output current- Alarm condition (selectable):

alarm signal can be configured as constant current ≤4 mA or ≥20 mA

- Open channel flow measurement (p3/2)

A single transmitter provides up to three measured values - With an accuracy of 0.075 %, optionally 0.04 %- Each with an alarm and status report

Using one device for three measurements savesmounting, installation and investment cost.- Less shut-offs- Fewer mechanical connections

The use of fieldbus technology considerably increases the range of information from

your field instruments. In addition to the measured value, the status and alarm messages

provide valuable information about plant status and reliability of the measured values.

The transmitters of the 2600T series with their multi-sensor technology support the

availability of this information in a unique way.

Supports fieldbus protocols- PROFIBUS PA- FOUNDATION Fieldbus- HART- Modbus

Comfortable configuration through local operatingkeypad and integral digital display- Easy adaptation to the operating conditions

at the measuring point- Less planning and commissioning time and cost

Local digital and analog measured value display - To increase the local convenience and

information flow

Exchangeable electronics with self reconfiguration- Quick and reliable trouble-shooting

(should problems ever arise – the instrument has an impressive MTBF of 200 years!)

Various national and international approval certificates ensure universal usage- CSA, FM, ATEX

Intelligent technology – so easy to handle

Multi-sensor transmitters 267JS / 269JS

The digital interface between the sensor and theelectronics does not only provide for signal process-ing without additional errors. It also facilitates thereplacement of the electronic section and makes thetransmitter easily serviceable. All parameters and configuration data relevant for the measuring pointare saved in the non-volatile memory of the sensor. After replacement of the electronics, automatic datatransfer is carried out. The previous transmitter functionality is thus restored, without requiring further user actions.

The new sensor technology provides for extremelyshort response times and, thus, allows a quick reaction on process changes. Despite serial signalprocessing, this feature is achieved by using severalA/D converters.

Maintenance and diagnosis information such as

Value above/below rangeMeasuring sensor overloadSensor out of temperature range is available.

Take advantage of our experienceOur experience and know-how in the field of pressuretransmitter development, construction and productionwere a good basis for our 2600T. This transmitter has avery good long-time stability and will make a good jobover years without requiring any maintenance.

Firm as a rockConsiderably reduced environmental and processeffects due to multi-sensor technology. The result: reliable and safe measurement.

Early detected, immediately eliminatedPermanent self-monitoring functions allow for anearly diagnosis. A write protect switch preventsunauthorized access to the device.

So easy to handleKeys and switches on the device and a digital displayallow for easy parameter setting and configurationon site. There is no need to open the device in the field. This prevents the ingress of moisture oraggressive substances into the device and ensuresreliable functionality over a long time. The measuredvalue is indicated in both an analog and digital man-ner on the LCD. Which of the available measuredvalues – differential pressure, pressure or tempera-ture – is indicated can be defined by configuration.Good visibility even under bad light conditions isensured by the background illumination function ofthe display.

Functional diagram of the measuring section/electronic section

The unique combination of several sensor systems ina single device permits simultaneous measurement of differential pressure, absolute pressure and, via anexternal sensor, process temperature. Additionally, the sensor temperature is measured and recorded for service and diagnosis purposes. The sensor tem-perature and the absolute pressure are also used for eliminating environmental effects on the sensor.

Highest accuracy is achieved through:Dynamic flow correction with continuous calculation of Reynold’s number and flow coefficientCorrection of material-dependent thermal size changesLinearization of the primaries

Flow correction is also possible without temperaturemeasurement with fixed temperature.

Mass flow measurement even more efficient, due to the variety of supported primaries:

Orifice, corner, D- and D/2 tapsOrifice, flange tapsSmall bore orifices (flange/corner taps)ISA-1932 nozzleLong radius nozzleClassic Venturi meterVenturi nozzlePitot tubeV-coneWedge elementIntegral orifice

Mass flow measurement

Connecting an external temperature sensor allows for measuring the process temperature in addition to the pressure variables. As a result, the transmitter is capable of measuring gases, vapors and liquidsusing the differential pressure method. The operatingdensity of the fluid is calculated as a function of pressure and temperature, and from this results themass flow.

Mass and standard volume flow in accordance withAGA 3 or DIN EN ISO 5167.

The pressure and temperature dependent values forvapors, liquids and gases are calculated using tablessaved in the device.

Communication

using the Device Management Software

The Device Management Software DSV401 (SMART VISION) allows for data communi-

cation with the field instruments. It supports the PROFIBUS, FOUNDATION Fieldbus,

HART and Modbus communication standards.

DSV401 is used for parameter display, configuration, diagnosis, support of service and

maintenance tasks, data management and documentation.

The main features at a glance

Device diagnosticsInformation about the process data reliability

Online data monitoringDetection of process malfunctions

Process value alarmsAccess to detailed information about the process state

Device data read-outto ensure that all requirements regarding corrosion protection, certificates etc. are met

Calibration/Adjustment by mouse-click

Adjustment of the lower range value and span withand without application of pressure.

Measured value display

Digital display of the process pressure as a percentage and in physical units

as colored bargraphas trend data display in four sections, with adjustable time ranges

Verification and plausibility checking of the measur-ing point are supported in an optimal mannerthrough the possibility to simulate all input values.
