Introduction
Computer Based Training is a method in which a computer program is used as the teacher or instructor.
Computer Based Training is the term used to refer to any form of training that can be delivered by a computer.
CBT can used to teach almost any conceivable subject ,but it is specially popular for computer related studies.

Its multimedia function has added capability of displaying information in audio ,graphic, and motion video form which can make the teaching skills and processes more effective.

with human trainer.

The training that occurs solely on computer with individuals interacting with a computer program to learn a given concept or training course.

Flexibility :It gives trainees to learn when they want to ,when it is more convenient for them.
Controlled : computer deliver only the training they have been programmed with and in the manner the have been designed to deliver it. This reduces chances of error.
Advantages of computer Based Training
Reduces training costs :the greatest advantages of CBT is reduction in the cost of travel, training facilities , hotel rooms ,meals , trainers and employee time.
Just in time :easy access to training means workers can immediately apply knowledge and skills to the job ,thus quickly improving the performance.

Self Pace: each learners can progress at his/her own pace.

Availability: if computers are not available training can not be given.
Technical support necessary: multimedia always require hardware and software electric supply and surge protectors are key.
Poor access: many learners do not have access to computer network.
