KYC Due Diligence: Client is a leader in commercial banking financial services, working in collaboration across the globe to deliver the best solutions and advice to meet their client’s needs, anywhere in the world.

Commercial Banking Client On-Boarding (COB) is a global team with locations in major locations such as New York, Houston, Chicago, London, and Mumbai. The team functions in close partnership with Global Financial Crime Regulation Unit, Operations, Credit, Legal and Compliance to ensure efficient and timely on boarding to the client’s infrastructure. COB plays a critical role in introducing new clients to our organization as well as ensuring full due diligence is done with respect to new and existing relationships. The AML/KYC Renewals Due Diligence program performs periodic reviews of KYC information for renewals of client information. It includes remediation efforts and projects to clean up data and documentation and coordinate with other areas as needed (COB, Compliance, Sales, and Client Service), particularly for high risk clients.

Lead Onsite Business Analyst for the KYC Due Diligence Program. Facilitate requirement elicitation sessions and workshops with business users to gather

requirements pertaining to KYC Due Diligence forms to meet legal and regulatory requirements and ensure completeness of application.

As a subject matter expert, review and resolve KYC questions, issues and challenges from both internal and external parties.

Engage functional partners (Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Business) to assist with specific KYC reviews, establish best practices and adopt changes as appropriate.

Analyze requirements and prepare requirement specification documents, functional specification documents and support documents for development & testing team.

Project Description

B2C Web Strategic Transformation: A leading European Insurance Provider acquired a US based Automobile and Property Insurance group and decided to rebrand and reengineer the Quote, Claims and Agency Portals functionalities to get aligned with the Parent entity.

To execute this corporate vision and to expand the existing customer base, the client commissioned the project to bring the Quote and Claims functionalizes in-house in Sliver 1. The client is expected to extend the scope of this project to other states in the U.S. where the company is growing inorganically by means of further acquisitions. To achieve this strategic transformation, iRise tool was used to create simulations for stakeholders giving them a comprehensive view of the future state program. iRise also helped in downsizing requirement errors and create a better software design.

Project DescriptionCustomer Sanctions Screening Process using Pega-PRPC case management solution: To comply with the anti-trust regulations and to extend its customer sanctions program to the divested group, the client commissioned the project to implement Customer Sanctions Compliance for screening/filtering of customers, countries and politically exposed people as a part of KYC/AML framework within the Bank.

Previously Customer sanctions screening was performed manually which led to decreased operational productivity and erroneous decisions in absence of standard validations. Pega PRPC was deployed to facilitate, erstwhile manual, investigative process. Major highlights of our Solutions included: Automated decision making based on user input thus eliminating “false positives” upfront, Intelligent routing of cases based on operator skills and appropriate user groups, SLA driven automated communication and periodic follow up with relationship managers / end customers and Multiple reports to identify bottlenecks and optimize processes.

Automation of this CDQ process, erstwhile manual, was done using Pega PRPC v6.2 leading to Process optimization and enhanced operational productivity.
